Maybe but you have to check them out thoroughly first.

This is a real tough question to answer. I've heard of cases on both success and failure. So it is indeed not fair to get one sided on this issue. I think you should get to know the person well first on the chat, see for consistency in his messages which will relate directly to his thoughts and behaviour. Take your time and don't rush into any committment. Once you're convinced you're ready to meet your chat friend, try fixing up an appointment which is convenient for both, may be a coffee shop should be fine, with people around so that you don't get psyched by the person. Then take it to the next level. But be aware that there are good people as well as thebad ones. So you and only you should make the judgement. Others can only influence it but finally only you will be responsible for your judgement. By the way I've come across quite a few cases among my friends and relatives wherein Chat room aquaintance has really turned into a happy married life. All the best to you.

I met my husband on-line. I was however very careful about meeting him in person. Meet in a public place where you have a lot of people around. Make sure you drive yourself there. Once there check in at least once with a friend. Finally, just use common sense. If something doesn't feel right, then it isn't and get out of there quickly.

Be carefull, be very carefull. Check, re-check do a final check and still do not trust the outcome. A chatbox is often a meeting place for perverts (not saying you are one) who seek nothing more than simple sexual pleasure from unsuspecting men and women.. glory to the anonymous internet age..

PLEASE DONT! FOR YOUR OWN SAKE!!!!
I suppose if you are with someone, and have told some1...then you could but im still frowning upon the idea.
On the other hand, loads of people do it and survive but its still SOOO RISKEY, maybee you should get to know this person as much as you can before you confirm anything.

Do it if you feel that there is a connection.. not in the *** but in the mind..
Do it if he/she feels your thoughts and if you would regret not doing so. Anything and everything could happen, so keep an open mind and you might find a best friend, or even a life partner!

it doesn't always work out so if you do meet this person have a backup plan and take some friends with you when you go to meet them. if the insist you meet alone turn them down.

Yes - you should arrange to meet in a forest clearing miles away from anywhere, and you should recognize her from the shiny carving knife she carries :)
PS. Bring a shovel and a saw.
