Illegal immigrants cannot vote to answer another one's remark, you have to be a British Citizen to vote, that means you have to be in the UK for 5 years before being eligible to apply for citizenship.

The fact is, Blair and his government refused asylum to many of these 500,000 (I think it's actually around 570,000) people but can't send them home as their country is not deemed as safe and our government are liable if anything happens to them upon their return.

Maybe people have sewn up their facial features as they are so desperate.

That's probably a big mistake. Here in the US, Bush is trying to do the same thing (except we have more like 30 million illegals). Although I am a republican, I am strongly against him in this matter as are most americans. The bill that would allow amnesty for those 30 million and open the floodgates to nearly 100 million more....is dead in the water because of people like me calling, writing and otherwise making life very uncomfortable for any politician who supports amnesty. Likely our strong anti-illegal immigration bill, HR4437, will become law instead.

It would probably be a good idea for Brits to copy americans in putting pressure on Blair's government to tighten up immigration. Just look at what is going on in France.

Odds are then that the 500,000 eastern european illegals will go back and do things properly to come into the country. Anyway if they want to come in illegally odds are they will and when they can't get respectible jobs they will prob turn to a life of crime putting you and the rest of the country in danger.

Also it provides workers to do the jobs that the British can't be bothered to do. Ever wonder why there are so many jobs available in the UK but so many people on benefits at the same time?

it quite is not correct what usa a guy or woman's from some everybody is friendly whilst others are b****es.
