Dear Brother,
It is more of who you are that matters. Not whether you are a Christian or a Muslim. There are bad Christians as well as bad Muslims, be good whoever you are.....
If you asked about the religious differences between a Christian and a Muslim. Well I will list some below, which are of my best knowledge..
(*) Muslims do not believe in trinity, he believes in ONE God, without trinity being associated with it.
(*) Muslims consider Jesus as only their prophet, and is not considered as God, one thing to be taken note here is, unlike Jews, Muslims have a high regard for Jesus, who is their prophet.
(*) For Muslims there is no concept of the original sin and they do not believe that they are living under grace. Thus even though faith matters, it is not the only criteria considered, in deciding hell and heaven. His deeds, words and actions are strictly taken into account in deciding this.
(*) Muslims believe Mohammed is the final messenger or prophet. And that Holy Spirit, mentioned in the new testament and concepts of final messenger given in the old testament, refer to Mohammed.
(*) Finally Muslims believe that the new and old testament was fabricated or distorted, as the time passed by the disbelievers. So the final Holy Book was produced in the form of Noble Qur'an as the last testament, by the God Almighty, and given to prophet Mohammed.

The same question could be asked of you...Why is it special, infact, to be ANY religion
The thing is, Religion, regardless of what it is, gives us what we require in ourselves. Those of us who feel no need of religion are not better or worse, just not fulfilled by that part of life. Why ask why? Enjoy what you believe, be glad in the beliefs of others, and wish them all well. Diversity is the flower that makes life what it is.
And in response to the "bomber" comment, Muslims are not terrorists. Terrorists may be muslim or SAY they are muslim, but not all Muslims are terrorists.

Better question...What is so special about being religioius? These specifics are what end up offending people in here. No reason not to keep this generic. PEACE!
