There is probably nothing wrong with him. Is he a "single" cat? That is, is he the only one you have at hom? If that is the case, he probably has "adopted" the teddy bear as a surrogate family member and is doing the usual "rough & tumble" play-hunting with it that he would normally do with his siblings. Watch a litter of kittens as they first grow up -- they jump, run, tumble, bite, growl, purr, lick -- everthing they can to make friends, be hunters, etc. Sounds exactly like what your cat is doing, since he does not have a "family" to do it with?! Just sounds like he misses the rest of his litter.

I have a toy lemur that has been Loki's *special friend* since he was a kitten. He is now two, and I would like to state, has been neutered. since he was 6 months. Shortly after Loki reached maturity, he took his relationship with the lemur to a new level. In addition to rough and tumble play, he attempts to mate. He yowls as he does this, and of course, ends up frustrated. He also carries the lemur around the apartment and I've even come home to find its head in Loki's food bowl. It's nothing to be worried about.

just enjoy him .. i think they are cute playing like that...we shine a light on the floor and watch her try to catch it..maybe she just enjoys the teddy bear..or if it is a boy maybe he needs spaded..well or neutered...i have yet to get mine her shots or spaded yet... i am waiting till i get the money and i have not paid the 350 pet deposit yet.. i also want to get her declawed but i am going to hope on that one anyway...i guess maybe you could buy him different toys and take the bear away...this is just a suggestion.. he may not like that at all...hope this helps some..

Why do anything? I would think that is great to watch your pet entertain himself. Don't you enjoy watching the little buggar having fun? It's better than tv watching........
