Any book at all- their little eyes light up when I say "ok, time to pick out a book". They run to their room, and come out with several. They ask questions, and offer comments about what we are reading. It can be anything- animal farm books, Dr. Suess, Berstein Bears, micky mouse, Whinnie the pooh, Bible Stories, Smokey the Bear, Nursury Rhymes, Disney, Seseme Street- whatever they pick out I love to read- I enjoy the varity.

Our kids are ages 11 and 10 and I'm currently reading the Harry Potter series to them. That's our summer project. When they were younger and into bedtime stories I bought a collector edition of classic bedtime and fairy tales as well as a book of childrens bible stories. I still have these books and when the kids are grown and have children of their own I'll pass them down so they can read them to their kids.

The best kiddie book I've ever read is from Shel Silverstein called the Giving Tree. I never grow tired of reading that book because it teaches every child his/her first lesson in unconditional love...to give and not ask for anything in return.

THE GIVING TREE by Shel Silverstein. Kids loved it, grandkids love it, and I always loved reading it to them. It's simple but with a profound message that kids will understand at any age according to their perception at that age. Give it a look!

I like reading any children's book to my daughter. My favorite is Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, because when it says "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, I love you" I always give her a little hug when I say that part. She knows it and anticipates it when we turn the page, and gets this little grin on her face!

"The Littlest Angel" by Neale Walsh. It is a great book that teaches that everyone that you meet in your life has something to teach you and that you should always see the good in people. Also the artwork is wonderful.
