I guess you are like me and just want to switch networks, e.g. Orange to O2. Unfortunately, the A62 is a pig to unlock, and requires a cut in a track on the circuit board, very delicate, likely to break the phone. There are no simple codes you can enter via the keypad, so you can't just go into a shop advertising "We unlock phones", as some have suggested.
I only paid £20 for my A62, so I took the view that it's now worth the hassle and risk trying to unlock it, and will probably buy another £20 phone from O2.
The other responders should be ashamed of themselves, either accusing you of stealing the phone, or betraying complete ignorance of the phone you asked about....

You put the phone in your pocket first. you put your shoes on and of course some clothes, then you walk outside where you live but dont forget the key. Then you go to a high street where there are loads of shops. Keep reading the windows on shops and you will eventually find a shop that says on its window "WE UNLOCK ALL MOBILES" now what you need to do before stepping into that shop have some cash handy I say around £5 if you are in UK, then walk to the shop and hand over your mobile and say UNLOCK NOW. you should then hopefully walk out of that shop within minutes with your mobile unlocked. Good luck
p.s. However my friend be prepared for a big disappointment if the real owner of that mobile has already reported it lost or stolen because you will hopefully be out of pocket by a 5er and the mobile still doesnt work because its been locked via operator who received the report of mobile having been stolen or lost, in which case I suggest you walk slowly from the shop you just lost your 5er and go to the nearest police station and hand the mobile to them and say you found it. Then you walk back home without a mobile but with a more clear conscience.

You will need to find the PUK code. This comes with the instruction manual. If you don't have this you will have to phone the mobile phone operator, Orange, T-Mobile whatever and give them your mobile number. They will ask you some security questions and assuming you pass, will tell you your PUK number.

I can only assume you found a lost phone or are attempting to use someone elses phone... which would make you a thief if you used it. Take it into a cell store and they can reprogram the lock code... they will find out it's not your phone

Phone your service provider and give them your details. If you're the registered owner of the phone, they'll unlock it. Alternatively, you can buy unlock codes on eBay.
