The active ingredient in Coke was caramel (Molten sugar) when diet coke came out it contained "No sugar" but that meant "added sugar" (sweeteners were used instead) but it still had the caramel. Zero has now a substitute for the caramel too

As far as i understand diet coke still has a view calories, may be one or two calories worth of sugar in it. Zero Sugar coke by the name I feel might not contain any sugar so should imply zero calories. Can't really belive it though. But the concept of a Zero calorie coke is surely exciting.

I drink Diet Coke. It does taste different to Diet Coke and Lite Coke. Possibly Diet Coke is bad for you, but I have to say, the others taste a hang of a lot worse. I'd rather drink water.

Diet Coke tastes like a diet soft drink. Zero Coke doesn't have that nasty diet aftertaste and it is suppose to taste like Coke Classic. It doesn't taste exactly like regular Coke but it is much better than Diet Coke. Also, Diet Coke is low calorie but has carbs. Zero Coke has no calories and no carbs.

The zero coke is ideal for large groups of men storming down the road and the diet coke is ideal for super gluing to the shell of a tortoise. If the current advertising is to be believed

Coca Cola Zero is the American Diet Coke, it uses different sweeteners to Diet Coke, people who have tried the American Diet Coke have claimed it tastes better then Diet Coke, so the Coca Cola factory decided to give them Coca Cola Zero.

The new zero sugar coke use sucralose as one of it's sweetener. Sucralose is supposed not to give the bitter aftertaste you feel in some diet drinks. Sucralose has been around for about 15 years only, it's quite new. It is chlorinated sugar. The compagny making it says it is not metabolized (transformed by the body) at all but there are opponents of it who say the opposite.

Coca-Cola Zero offers a similar taste to Coca-Cola, yet with zero sugar.
Specially developed for Australia, the recipe uses a combination of sweeteners to achieve the same Coca-Cola taste with zero sugar. This means Coca-Cola Zero contains no calories.
Unlike diet coke which contains one calorie due to the addition of various types of sweetners and some sugar.

As with the other answers, but ZERO tastes more like normal coke than that god-awful diet crap :/
It doesn't taste the SAME as normal coke though, more like a different brand, like pepsi or something.
