It is God's will.
It is what the non-smoking public wants.
It is what I want.
Seriously, the USA spends more health care dollars on smoking related problems than any other health problem that rises from a personal choice although over-eating is quickly closing the gap.
Actually I have no problem with people smoking in public as long as:
They don't exhale.
They swallow their cig butts & ashes.
They do not let any residual smoke from their cig or match enter the airspace.
Smokers never kiss anyone! Yuck!!! Tastes like crap.
Don't ***** about the wrinkles smoking will eventually cause.
Don't use use any public health funds or employer supplied insurance to battle their self-induced medical problems.
Don't pass on their bad habits to kids.
Don't come within 10 ft of me because they always smell like crap.

There are none, how about you ask for three reasons why the government is now trying to basically ban what they knew was addictive when they put it out on the market. Why they have a special division just for tobacco and are now trying to make it impossible for people to smoke. It is not an illegal substance and if others do not like it then they should move. I think that it is unhealthy and that it is a bit of a nascence but I also think that people should not be pushed to the outskirts of society because they smoke and now the government wants to have some type of a sorry excuse for a conscience.

Well you are forgetting the biggest one. It being annoying. People like to say its health reasons, when they don't even know what 2nd hand smoke is. (The smoke that comes off the end of the cig, not what smokers blow out). Lets be real. You paper should be how smoking annoys people so for a better argument they use health concerns as a reason for banning it. While in all actuality, driving in traffic with your windows down is far more toxic then walking by a smoker. Unless your name is Flo and you worked in a smoking diner for 20 years. Health concerns are a cop out. If you don't want to be around smokers don't go to smoking establishments. It should be the right of the business proprietor and not government to make that decision . (and no I don’t smoke)

1. Smoking in public areas puts smoke into young children's throats and cause second hand smoke.
2. It's disgusting to have to smell smoke in the morning or any time in the day.
3. When people want to walk some where, they don't sometimes want to smell smoke but yet they can't do anything about it so it really ruins the "public area" when it really is "smokers area"

People don't want to breathe it, it stinks really terribly, and kids shouldn't be exposed to it either. However, I definitely think that it should be ok in a designated, ventilated area. If someone wants to smoke, it's their business as long as it doesn't impact another person.
