No they are just highest disciplined and lowest paid because they wear those stuipded hats.
They would be ineffective in combat because they're equipment is junk. Kind of a mixure of American and Soviet weapons.

India is the 4th best military after Russia. They are extremely desciplined and in warfare their tactics are effective infact so effective that if U.S and India were caught in warfare the U.S
would not win very easily and after winning the U.S would be a 3rd world country after such a effort because Indian tactics make it so that an enemy just wants a truce. They may not be good at handeling militant groups but who really are. The U.S cannot
handle Al Qeada effectivly and India cannot handle other militant groups. But I really do not know about salary. I heard it was average.

yes sad but true,the high ranking officers r still hav better pay scales due to various perks,but the common soldier is the one who suffers the most.
