You hit the nail on the head. That is the very first thing that makes it worth while. Then all the milestones you get to watch them go through. I realized that this is what life's all about. I adore my little girl.

I have three grown children. They are my best friends. When they were young and growing up, they were so precious with their smiles and I love yous. There were sleepless nights when they were sick, constant messes to clean up. Prayer for them, concern when I wasn't able to be with them at times, gentle love and tough love through the teen age years. Most of all teaching them to love Jesus. And finally, they are my best friends. Now the same thing with the 6 grandchildren. Children are special and wonderful!!!! I feel so blessed.

For me it's when my little 4 month old daughter looks up at me while eating and gives me a big grin while letting milk dribble out the corner of her mouth. The biggy though is that deep belly laugh when I dance around and sing like a crazed lunatic!!! She thinks I'm the funniest thing in the world. That's what does it for me!!

Oh yes, it's definitely the smiles! All the peaceful times, the little laughs, the funny faces they learn to make... and the first hug they give you!

It's hearing mama I love you and getting a hug. I know once my daughter reached out to touch my face was the first time that made me feel that it was all worth it.
