I've had a class with this guy, and I was also a member of the organization that he was president of. I met with him quite a lot last semester, thus I talked to him more (time wise and in depth) that with anyone (currently) except my best friend. I loved it when he dropped by, and when I did and found him in the organization's cubicle. Everytime he was there, I kicked myself a bit for not coming earlier. There was an organization dinner for which I got TOO decked out for, and was nervous the whole night b/c he sat next to me out of all the seats in the room. I don't remember almost anything except this from that night. He's smart, and has a very laid back personality with a great sense of humor. I like him for him because I know who he is, but is it Infatuation, Like, Love, Lust?

I sent him an email to tell me about his internship because it's in a field I might go into, and he replied with a lunch meeting invitation... That was three hours ago, and I'm still on an adrenaline rush.

Sounds like infatuation. We're always attracted to the unknown and in your case, the unknown is the relationship potential with this guy. Grass is always greener...as this is a prime example. The mystery of it all is what's getting to you.

Maybe your infatuation can open the door to a relationship, but don't be suprised if, once you get to know him more, he's not all you imagined him to be..Infatuation does that - it sticks our heads in the clouds.

Good luck.

Infatuation

Infatuation, you have all the symptoms. :)

It's Like when you like talking/being with the person, but don't get nervous around him and don't think him when you are not with him.

When it's love... well that's a really big thing. Then you really have to know who you are..

It's about lust when you think he's sexy. When you wanna have sex with him. And you don't feel nervous. If you feel nervous, your stress reaction (adrenaline) will prevent you from getting sexually aroused. Associated with certain physical reactions ;)

You're completely infatuated with the guy because he sounds perfect for you. If you'd like it to turn into love, you're going to have to grow a back bone, and ask him if he wants a relationship...

You are asking for too much from life. Take it slow and let things develop for themselves. It's best not to mess with fate. If you guys are meant to be together then things will work out on their own accord. Trust me, got experience in the catergory. best of luck amigo.

sounds like LIKE and possibly LUST to me. luckily you don't seem to be stalking him or otherwise acting a fool or unable to think about anything else - to me, that rules out infatuation. love takes time to grow.
i hope you said yes to lunch so you can find out where this may lead. good luck! :)
