You can't just stop being gay just like I can't become a lesbian even if I wanted to. I think you should be proud of who you are! Talk to other homosexuals and find out how they dealt with finding out. Really; it's nothing to be ashamed of!

If you are religious, not all churches are anti-gay. I agree that you should be yourself, and not try to force yourself into something that some churches or some other people think you should be. Search out a church that is more accepting and doesn't take a literal view of the Old Testament (assuming you are Christian). There is a church in San Francisco that teaches love, acceptance, and helping your neighbor, which I think is really the message Jesus was teaching. It's called Glide www.glide.org. You can probably find something like it in your city too. You could contact Glide - they should know of other churches like theirs.

It's a sin. Like any sin, it can be broken. There is a whole organization for formerly gay people. I'm sorry I don't know the web site. The Bible says that it is an apostasy. I don't believe that you are born with it or people wouldn't be able to leave it. There are thousands and thousands who have left that life style. The organization is founded by formerly gay people. I'll look it up and get back to you. God Bless your search!

Take your bible and open it to the book of Psalms. Place your gay genetalia in the pages and slam the bible closed three times saying aloud "I rebuke you! Out gay demons, out" with each slam. Then, after you get up off of the floor, take a picture of a beautiful woman and tap your sore appendage against it until you get a responce that would indicate you are no longer gay. If at first it doesn't work, lather, rinse repeat. Best of luck.

First of all stop confessing the problem. you are not gay, you have been deceived by spirits of the flesh. probably a sexual addiction. You were really made in God's image and that is like Jesus. Jesus was put here for us to have a barometer as to how we shoud be. We are all suppose to work towards that goal. You cannot do it without God's help because the void you will create by abandoning your addiction, will need to be filled with Truth. Only God Himself can hold up to the level of TRUTH that will illiminate the desire to return to your addiction.
Surrender to God and ask Him to fill the void with His Holy Spirit to act as a mirror to he reflection that you truly are. Forget the title "Homosexual". that is an experience or an action, and NOT who you are.

a difficult statement to make. one that i am not qualified to answer, except to say, "pray on it".
the best advice is to contact a member of the clergy of your chosen religion and ask them for assistance. be very careful and make certain that you do not approach a "radical" segment of your religion. they may spurn you for what they consider your past sins.
if you are christian, there are many religious sects that will accept you even though you are gay. some will want to convert you, others will accept you "as is".
it is not for us, as mortals, to judge a soul. we are just not qualified. although i read passages in the bible that denounce homosexuality, it may be that a married gay couple, who keep the commandments will be just as blessed as a heterosexual couple who keep the commandments.
that is a question for God, not the average "i'm religious so whatever i say is right" person.

Probably the best you can hope for is celibacy. The statistical track record of the "ex-gay" movement is not good at all. Below are some texts that might be helpful to you.

You can't. You're only 14, you might just be curious, not necessarily gay. The teenage mind is very active because it's maturing. It might just be a stage that will pass as you get older. Either way, be happy with who you are and don't worry about it.

You might have a tough time with religion. God is able to do anything, but you must seek Him because you want to serve Him, not because you want to be straight.
Your orientation will change if you are honestly trying to serve God. But, if you're just trying to use Him to be straight, you are not going to see any results I'm afraid.
I pray that you understand what I mean. You may contact me if you want me to explain further.
May God show you the way,
Sal

If you want to have the help of God, He says you have to tell him you are sorry that you have engaged in homosexual activity, then receive His forgiveness.
You will be forgiven. Not because you have been sorry for sinning against God, but because Jesus already paid for your sins at the cross, and God honors that and forgives you.
I doubt if your desires will change at least for a while. It's just like heteros being sorry they have been unfaithful in a marriage. They ask God to forgive them but they have to not put themselves in a position to be tempted as much as possible.
Then God can and will protect you from situations that are too much for you to bear.
The key point is God created you to be just like you are for some reason. But He loves you and wants to bring you out of that sin bondage, so that you can be used for His glory. And that, ironically enough, is the most fulfilling joy man can experience.
There will be people on here who will tell you that you can't change. Will you believe them or God's holy word.
Now. I want to quit smoking. Can you help me?
