If so, please give me your favorite artist and song/lyrics that make you lose yourself in the zone.
If not, just why do you think people have these deep passions for music?
Also, for those who know alot about how music works, please describe what is happening to the soul when the connection is made.

I think different songs resonate with parts of our soul and there is always a song for everyone that lifts our vibrations just that little bit higher.
If I am having a bad depression day either me or my partner will stick on "Hero" and crank it up until I'm believing in myself again;
There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you.
When I think about a certain someone from way back when I think of Reba McEntire-What if it's you ? And the love in my heart comes flooding through me.
What if it's you
What if our hearts were meant to be one
What'll I do
Knowing that I'll never love anyone
As much as I do love you
What if it's true
What if it's you .
If I'm sitting chilling and having a smoke Then Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird" is my trip. Don't try to talk to me..... I can't hear you. My mind is so elsewhere when I hear this that nobody and nothing exists. They're playing this at my funeral.
Bye, bye, baby it's been sweet love, yeah, yeah.
Though this feeling i cant change.
But please don't take it so badly,
'Cause the Lord knows I'm to blame.
But if I stayed here with you girl,
Things just couldn't be the same.
Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you cannot change. oh!
And this bird you cannot change. x2
The Lord knows, I can't change.
Lord help me, I can't change.
Lord I can't change
Won't you fly high, free bird yeah?
Each of the songs above just do something to me and for their duration, I am somewhere else, neither in time or space. There is just a feeling of "me-ness"
Corey I just Love love love your questions, especially the musical ones. You let me reminisce and think and I thank you.

I enjoy music thoroughly. My favorite artist changes all the time. Recently, I have been listening to a lot of White Stripes and Yonder Mountain String Band.

Cutting is a signal of a deeper problem. When you reduce you both wish to omit ache you cant manage, or well-nigh dont believe whatever and wish to believe anything. It is phsycological in nature. You do have to see a official to paintings through your disorders, just a therapist can stroll you through a technique to give up.
