Sure. Scientific evidence, like any other evidence, is subject to the principal: "garbage in; garbage out." People who gather and/or process evidence can be sloppy or even corrupt. When "scientific" evidence is introduced, the science is only there to support the evidence of the expert witness whose "conclusion" is what is admitted into evidence and argued to a jury. There is a long history of police and criminalist falsification of evidence. Falsification of DNA evidence would be particularly egregious, because juries have come to believe -- through mass media -- that is almost foolproof. The science is indeed sound, but the methods of collecting, storage, transport, processing it & the conclusions drawn from it are much less so.

I think it is very much a possible thing I know it has happened before for sure all one would have to do is plant the DNA and not leave any clues of other obtainable DNA Trace evidence.

I recall a true life crime where a prominent football player's blood sample went from his arm to the lab via the crime scene, and some of it was missing. It took a dream team of lawyers to bring that one to the forefront. Labs are supposed to be "blind" and working with anonymously serial numbered samples, but that isn't reality. The way it actually works is the cops ask if "these are a match." WAY too much room for corruption or contamination in my opinion. The cops' agenda is to nail the guy, not find evidence to the contrary. There have also been documented cases where a mother falsely accused her husband/boyfriend of sexually abusing her daughter by planting semen she saved from the rubber they used together the night before. Sort of makes you worry, doesn't it?

Of course it is. Many people have been framed this way.It is a simple thing. even without beijg framed consider this . For example the chances of a match is very slim. That means it is possible. The match or matches could be in the same street as you now. Might be your neighbour, boss, employee etc.

only by the placing of your DNA at the scene of the crime. and the police will need more than just DNA to get a conviction.

Sure. However the planning that would have to take place should make you want to go to jail to get away from the person who framed you.

Certainly. I won't give you the details, though. It was bad enough the first time someone did it.
