Try a Seat Leon cupra 20v turbo should get a W plate one for under £6000 VW running gear and its fast.

Dont buy a gasguzzler like Ford Mustang - get an Asian-made
car.
They will give all the speed you want without all the problems.

For that i would buy a nearly new car, like maybe a Golf, or Ibiza, probably a nice black golf, you should get a nice one for 6000!!
