im actully born in england but ive been living in america 4 my whole life minus the first six months so i was say im pretty americanized but i think he is halarious even tho he can b mean sometimes but he speaks the truth thats what i like about him if he wasnt on american idol then there would b no realtie cheak and every1 would just b awsome! bu thats not possibe...but i think simon cowell is great!

I think he is "Absolutely fantastic!" He is the man we all "love to hate"
I may be partial though, as I find an English accent to be very exciting!
While some of his judgements can be a bit rude, he more often than not is at least honest. He doesn't whitewash his comments, and I like that.
However, there have been occasions where he was WAY out of line, and other times when he praised performances that were mediocre. (Every one of Fantasia's performances for instance!) While I think she is extremely talented, there were times when her performance was no better, or in fact was worse, than some of her competition, and ALL 3 judges tripped over themselves to tell her how WONDERFUL she was.
Excuse me, I digress. Back to Simon....Jolly good show!

Simon is the best of the three American Idol judges. He tells it like it is and he is usally right on the money concerning the talent on the show.

Well, on American Idol we have
Paula Abdul - goes ga ga over all the guys; acts weird, maybe on drugs or drunk, and spends time telling girls how cute they look
Randy Jackson - trying to be cool with his dog pound, dude and keeping it real and it just doesn't do it for me.
Simon is the only one who has concrete things to say, is generally right and generally funny.
So without him, Idol would just be a very boring show.

I think he's perfect for American Idol. He tells the truth as he sees it and is funny to watch. And hes also Cute! He makes American Idol...watchable.
