I try to begin everyday with a sense of inner peace. For me this means praying and meditating on our Lord and His love for us.I am curious what if anything others do to start their days calmly and centered.Have a wonderous day.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

First I read today's readings at USCCB.com and then have prayers. I usually take the psalm out of the reading and go over to IBS.com and bring up the psalm in the NIV so that I can stream the audio on the realplayer. Then I can hit replay throughout the day. as I pray etc. It is what I call "soaking psalms". The psalms have a lot in them when you meditate on them.

Peace back at ya! S

Yes but I usually do that as soon as I get to work. I ready a cup of tea and then open my email. After that I take a few minutes on Yahoo!Answers. This may not seem quiet or calming to others but it works for me. It helps me get a sense of what I did last, what still needs to be done, and allows me to collect my thoughts.

May the blessing of your God or Goddess be with you. If you have none then I hope you have a good day.

Yes, for sure.

Every morning I devote 20 minutes quiet time to meditation, prayer, reciting a mantra or chilling out. The day is more productive and I feel calmer and more "myself" throughout the day.. I never miss this time.

Morning is also best because we are alert and fresh, unlike night before bed.. we get tired.

Absolutely,

I do deep breathing exercises and Tai Chi every morning to help focus my mind and prepare me for my day.

I think it's important to dedicate at least 10 minutes a day (preferably 30) to whatever you feel will mentally prepare you for the day ahead.

It can be anything that requires quieting the mind; meditation, deep breathing, or prayer. (For those of you of the christian persuasion - which I am not : -) )

Yes, I do, because no one can ever hope to live a joyous Christian life without constant attention to prayer and meditation of God's Word, and to give Him thanks.
