In the water! I have to say that the best I have ever done in the UK is in the river Dart in Dartmoor Devon.

Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota. Gorgeous! You just have to get there and they have outfitters that can rent you everything you need. No electricity, no running water...totally rustic and wonderful place to canoe and camp.

THE BEST PLACE TO CANOE IN ENGLAND IS WHITBY, THE WAVES ARE GREAT ON THE SEA AND ITS PRETTY SAFE IF TOUR NOT TOO EXPERIENCED
