IE - if you are a gym bunny join one in your new town.
Go to the library,
walk the dog
At your new work
But make eye contact and smile at people.

What type of things do you enjoy doing? When I moved to another state I found most of friends while participating in some of the thing I used to do back home. Like recreation league softball, basketball. I also joined a local gym and met a few cool people. Get out and about. I'm sure you'll make some new friends in no time. Good luck!

Ok, let's start with this....How old are you? If you're in school or planning to go...colleges are great places to meet people. If you like coffee shops, those a great too. I have actually met people while I was at the gym. I even met some people at the bookstore in the same section as me! lol And crazy enough...maybe on the internet too? I've made some female friends that way and we actually hang out! We have a great time!

I would suggest joining a footy club or some sort of sports club. I had the same problem when I moved to Dublin. Get involved in the community, you'll have loads of mates in no time!

Just go to your neighbour hose & introduce yourself the collect detail about that town and the near by people so that you can know about others and have friendship with them.

well your not going to meet new people sitting on your computer! go run up and down the street while waving your arms wildly above your head asking if anyone wants to be your friend, it worked for me
