My question is that lets suppose everyone in the world told me that Australia is a bad country. But the problem was that non of them ever went there. They based their opinion on here-say or on footages of crocodiles in Australia. So should I take their words for it or should I myself go and explore Australia to find out for myself.
Similarly, everyone that told me Islam is evil based it on the media. They never explore it themselves. So my question is:
1- Should I not explore its truth for myself?
2- Should I believe what people and media tell me, or what the Koran tells me?
3- Don't Muslims follow their religion much more than Chrisitians? ex. abstaining totaly from: alcohol, gambling, pork ,and these things are forbidden in the bible too which chrisitans don't practice. Tell me which christians dont eat pork ? It's prohibited in bibe in LEVITICUS 11:8. They say its the old testament, but Jesus said to follow Moses (Matthew 23). NT says women have to wear head scarf (1 Corinthians 11)

Do not beleive what Media tells you. Yes ,muslims are following the religion more than christians. You will see many young muslim men do not drink, do not smoke, remember God by prarying 5 times. Woman wears scarf coz she is a presious and should not be watched by thousands of hot tempered men. To be covered is benefit for her. In Bible it is written - not to eat pork. Why Christians eat it?????? It is said in Bible- do not create similarity to God. Why Christians pray statues and crosses, icons and saints????
Islam is a true religion, may be you need to read about it more to reveal how true it is.

Good question. The media and society plays a major roll in what people think of things. If a person wants to know what something is about they need to go directly to that source, not someone else telling you what it is about. Islam may seem strict and or oppressive to many people. But is because they don't' look into why these laws are in place. Society as a whole is much better and the individual is better off also. In other religions you can do what ever you want to do and get away with it. They say the punishment is in the after life only. Well how does that make a society function properly. These same people are quick to follow mans laws and punishment but not Gods. You commit adultly and oh well, I will deal with God later. Is that good for society or the individuals involved, of course not. The laws of Islam tries to stop the problems before they start. Crime is very low with PRACTICING Muslims. Sins are hidden because they are ashamed of what they have done, in fact Islam tells us to not tell everyone our sins and to keep the sins of our brothers and sisters to ourselves. Other religions will blast their sins out in the open and not care, they have no concern. Islam is a complete way of life not just a religion. It keeps you pure and clean, and it keeps you on the straight path, not just in this life, but also to help you get to Paradise in the next.

On more thing I would like to mention. The media does one of two things. It makes Islam look so bad that the person turns completely away or it makes the person wonder if this is the truth then they look for them selfs and find that they were wrong and Islam is the only way.

I pray you do search and find Islam to be the truth. If you have any questions please email me.

Wow! It is a huge question to ask.

For my openion, I never judge anyone without knowing them properly. Say if someone start to tell you that you are a lier for 100 times, after 100 times you start to feel that you are a lier. Eventhough you never lied.

So it goes like that too. I have visited Middle East in many occation. And I would never hesitate to go back there again and again. The richness of their culture and their hospitality has impressed me greatly. What we see in this western world is not always truth. It is kind of brain wash nothing more than that. Like China it is amazing place to go. yes there is lot problem if you do not know Chinese. But that is should not put China is a bad country. There are certain things which may not seems right and people may comments that they are violating the human right. But that is the only way to control billion over people. Try to see their problem from their eyes. Chinese are one of the most humble people you will ever see.

Terrorist donot have any religion. Religion is their excuse. And how do you know someone is not paying them to play this role to make this religion looks bad. Anyway that is my thought only...

So I would ask everyone to explore before making any comments about any religion, country and everything before making any bad comment

I hope I did not make anyone upset.....

1. You should ALWAYS be open to knowledge. But if your mother told you not to put your hand in fire would you feel the need to explore? Would you consider that exploration correct?
2. NEVER give a blanket statement about an entire group of people You always will be shown to be wrong. There are Muslims who have a beer every now and then have barbecue pork sandwich's and play the lotto. (I know by experience) There are Christians who are kosher and who do pray with a head covering (their choice not church rules)

P.S. There is nothing about dietary laws in Matt 23.

The precise faith? You have bought to be kidding? If your Allah is so best why does he want me for his jihads? Can't the best author of the Universe combat his possess battles? And to the character who makes use of the poetic imagery of the koran as evidence of ways scientifically correct it's, please give an explanation for the next quote: "Now permit guy however believe from what he's created! He is made out of a drop emitted-Proceeding from among the spine and the ribs," (Qur'an 86:five-7). It looks as despite the fact that the author of the universe demands a lesson or 2 in human sexuality. Please inform me how allah might have probably gotten this fallacious?...... except.... it is all only a massive hoax? The extra humans be trained approximately islam and the koran the extra humans will flip clear of it. I strongly feel islam's days are quantity. But what is going to change it you ask? Hopefully some thing that may a minimum of get up to just a little little bit of scrutiny

If you have a careful look at Islam, you'll find that Muslim are ecactly practicing what all prophets used to practice: praying, fasting, performing pilgrimage, worshipping the only God and nothing else like saints, statues. If you ask a Muslim about his/her religion the answer will be: the religion of Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Solomon, Jesus and Muhammed. They worshipped only one God (their belief is not accompanied by worthless worship of God's creators and mediators) believing in the purest and simplest way everyone should believe.

There are over a billion Muslims and over a billion Christians. You'll have a hard time generalising anything about either one.

Islam is as true a religion as any other one. Feel free to explore its truth for yourself. Go to the nearest mosque - I'm sure they'll be happy to talk with you.

Islam indeed is a true religion my friend..this is because many believers are true believers though undenyably there are some misguided ones.According to our prophet Muhammad(S.A.W),quran does not oppose christianity or judaism..it's the perfection and completion on the two previous works. We all believe in one God and God's messengers. Our values are similar though muslims follow the quran more strictly because of the penalties and fear for God.If you ask me,I think teh Qur'an is a more worthy source for you to believe because it tends to be less biased than the media, which is sometimes directed to one group of people.Tell me friend, how many true followers of Islam became bad in society? This itself answers your question whether Islam is a true religion or not.Allahu Akhbar!

Yes, I agree with edsawyer. Go to a mosque, ask questions, ask how you can get a copy of the Qur'an and ahadith. Ask if there are studies for non-Muslims. Do your own research and foreget the media, it's totally slanted to misrepresent Islam in a very bad light. Be your own mind, and open your own mind. Everyone is responsible for his/her own spiritual development.

Yes, Islam is good, it is from God. Islam is the religion of complete submission to the will of God. This religion, I mean the religion of complete submission to God's will, is the only one that is acceptable to God.

I had similar opinion as you and went ahead to discover it and found out that the media is actually showing very less compared to what the real islam is ...
Go ahead and discover it you'll see im speaking the truth.
Media only shows what they do to the non muslims but have you ever known what they do to their family or wife, friends in the name of Allah? You'll not only hate the religion but even muslims who blindly accept this crap and practice it.
