Got quite a few on my neck. They vary in size and some are very small so not sure it would be possible to remove them, but I heard that they grown bigger.

How can I get rid of them? Don't fancy wrapping string around them and not great with injections so not sure about the docs method either. Does is hurt??

I just had this done last week! I had a skin tag on my back, that started out as a freckle (I've had it since I was a baby), but it kept getting bigger and raising up. But anyway, I was a little nervous about getting it cut off. It was pretty big. The part that hurt a little was just the needle prick where the inject the anesthetic; this numbs the area, so you don't feel a thing! Afterward, it didn't really hurt at all. My biggest complaint is some mild itching now that it's healing! And I've wanted to get it done for a long time...go ahead with it, it's not that expensive, and it's nothing to be scared of!

Home surgery, man. Sterilize a pair of scissors. Cut the skin tag off at the base. Apply pressure with a clean cotton ball until the bleeding stops. Apply neosporin and a band-aid. Do this once a week or so, one or two at a time so you're not covered in bandages and sores all the time. Your doctor can do this for you, but it is cosmetic rather than medically necessary, so your insurance will likely not pay for it.

Wrapping string round is not that practical; gypsies use a strand of your own hair, which won't be visible.
My aromatherapy book suggests lavender oil painted on neat for warts. However this can take months to get rid of a wart this way.
There is a site called abchomeopathy.com which you need to look at for yourself. It takes you through pages of symptoms.
It suggested calcerea carbonica for abnormal skin growths, but you might put other answers and get a different result.

I had them for years.

I used the piece of cotton method in the end. I know you said that you don't like the idea, but it's totally painless and really works.

Tie a piece of cotton around the base of it (close to the skin as poss), it'll go black, then 4 or 5 days later it just falls off - gone forever!!

It takes time, but it's worth it in the end just to get rid of the little f**ker!!

Good luck

I had mine removed at hospital, all from neck and face. Some required multiple stitches.

Not gonna dress it up, I hate needles too, but the docs are trained to deal with it and all i felt were minor scratches as he did it.

The most pain was after 2 days when i had a shave and caught the stitches.

Speak to ya medical people and get it sorted.

Simple procedure at dermatologist office. Takes a second and is very quick with very little pain. Certainly worth taking care of. No big deal. Had it done 6 or 8 times. Go for it!

Go to the MD. He can freeze them off, its painless. You can also ask him for a tag pen...it gets hot and burns them off(also Painless) don't tie string around them because you will look like a Christmas tree.
