When was the last time you heard them whine about Bhudda or Mohammed? If they believe in nothing, why is Jesus the only target?

Let me answer your question by re-phrasing that question:

In battle, why is it that the enemy focuses their attack on the people with guns and ammunition??

Answer: Because they are the only ones that can be victorious over you.

The simple fact that athiests do not attack other religions and only attack Christianity is the greatest compliment that they pay us.

Oh, and athiests don't "only" attack Christians, it's really "mostly" attack Christians. They're not too happy about Judaism and Islam too...

The other religions don't recruit or evangelize in the fashion that some Christian Ministries do. This exposure creates the opportunity because it allows for the interaction to commence. The comment I've noticed most often applied to Christians by atheists is "Leave me alone!", if this can not be done then there most surely will be confrontation. I don't recall any Buddhists looking for new members, even Islam seems to limit itself in this regard from what I've observed. I don't think Jesus is the target, it's the person that preaches that most atheists seem to take issue with, I'm sure most atheists could see the merit of Jesus's message, they just don't believe He was/is the soon of God, nor do they believe in God. I hope this helps sort this out for you, take care.

It's not, it's just "attacked" more often because there are many more Christians than any other group here "attacking" atheists.

There is no reason why an atheist would "whine" about Bhudda, he wasn't a god. Neither was Mohammed but I can see why atheists would debate about him.

Simply, its not, but it appears very much that way at times because many countries where other religions dominate have rules that prevent free speach and even threaten death if you profess atheism. Most Christian cultured countries are tollerent enough not to be like this and Christianity is what their atheists know about, hence it being the biggest target.

BTW. I'm an atheist and say without meaning offence that "atheist" means "without a God" not just a Christain God. I believe the evidence is overwhelming that there is no devine hand involved in life and that the Universe, the world, life and everything came about without a God being involved.

Since Christianity has been established it has been attacked, by Romans and others. A time in the Christian religion they were put to death just for believing in Jesus. The secrecy of their personal walk was taught, go into your closet and pray, do good to those who would use you, if a man hits you on your right cheek turn your left to him(this was a way a man indicated he wanted to fight) and it goes on. So persecution for the Christian is nothing new just old news. I am a Christian and did studies as to why.

Perhaps it's because most Christians like to proselytize, and tell people they're going to hell if they don't believe specific doctrines of the Christian faith. I don't know much about Mohammed, but Buddhists live and let live. They don't like to shove their beliefs down other peoples' throats. The same applies to Pagans, Hindus, Agnostics etc ...

If Christians don't like being attacked, perhaps they should stop their religions attacks on others. You get what you give in this world. It's called Karma.

I think it's because Buddhists don't tell them they're going to burn in hell. I've been a Christian for a long time, but I wouldn't be attracted to Christianity by someone threatening me with fire and brimstone, or by only seeing Christians who are hypocrites. The ones who specifically say nasty things about Jesus himself are only doing it because they think it's funny to make Christians mad. It's sad, really. Not all Christians preach at people like that. No one is perfect but some people do try to live after the example of Jesus.

Becasue most christians are annoying hypocrites that have nothing better to do than tell them they're going to burn in hell if they don't behave. have you noticed that Jesus never raised his voice to anyone but hypocrites? Those Jews thought he was because they didn't se him as the messiah. I don't believe people get torment in hell. I believe that the whole controversy is on the Earth and will end here. I believe the Earth will be cleansed and restored by fire and paradise will be here. The saints will inherit the heavens (the atmosphere) and the Earth.

Good atheists go to heaven.

As a devote athiest, I'll take down any religion. Thousands of years ago people had no explanation for the world around them, and superstitions took hold. As civilisation developed, rulers used religion, (just as they do today), to justify war. Those with the most commited followers usually won. That is why we have relativly few religions, (5 big ones for 6,000,000,000 people). All religion is flawed, we are merely very intelligent animals who need our mortality fears put to rest

Its not really correct to say that atheists "believe in nothing"... I'm not an atheist (I'm more of an agnostic) but as far as I understand, the term atheist literally means "no god". So they dont believe in nothing, they just believe no god exists. In this sense then, a true atheist would criticise all religions that believe in any god. I dont think an atheist would question that jesus existed, they'd just doubt he is a god or a son of god or whatever.

And if you ask questions in a more positive tone, people will give you better answers. You say atheists whine about jesus, but your question sounds to me like a christian whining about atheists.
