I should probably rephrase it a bit: Is caffeine good when you're dieting? (not just in general) I've heard conflicting views about it.

to a certain level, not good for pregnant women for sure, it is good as a stimulant for the brain centers

I don't know about the caffeine itself, but what you add to caffinated drinks sure isn't good when you're dieting...

I think in moderation, everything is okay. If you drink 15 cups a day, you may have a problem, although it may have a similar effect to taking speed...

Just don't drink too much, I heard about a new study that excess amounts of caffeine can kill you (like if you drank 5 pots one after the other you would basically poison yourself).

It can be. Caffeine is a stimulant, and as such can act as a natural appetite suppressant and a metabolic enhancer. Of course, make sure you get your caffeine from low calorie sources such as diet sodas or coffee with no added sugar.

no, caffeine is not good for your diet. caffeine is a mild stimulant so it has da potential to increase alertness, wakefulness and feelings of energy. however, excess use can have negative effects. too much caffeine intake can be over-stimulating and cause anxiety, sleep problems and muscle twitching.

Recent studies shows that caffeine helps neutralize the arteries from being stiff. But of course, too much of it can do harm.

sometimes yes sometimes no, no because sometimes u drink too much u cannot sleep,yes because in the morning u go to the office to work u will get tired and u should drink some caffeine before u fell asleep

acid is on answer and another is constipation which is not good for increasing belly! second thing it makes Ur teeth Ivory which again looks bad so avoid caffeine

no - it adds acid to your system and acid is not very good when you are dieting
