Postmodernism seems to me mostly simply reprocessing earlier creative work to elicit a not-so-obvious psychological spin. Isn't that like re-cooking food, and taking the freshness out? An academic regurgitation by those without the creativity and personal fresh insight to originate something?

Another Renaissance. People seem exhausted these days. Eventually, they're going to regroup, perk up and start another fascinating period of art again.

Ah, but you can't see the insides from the outside, can you? Rabbit entrails are nothing like the rabbit, therefore I see no point in this statement as related to the modernism/postmodernism deal :)
Yes, exploration is key, but the end product needs to be completely different than the materials used.

Lots of things. Although post-modernism is inherently self-referential it continues to feed on new ideas and to propel itself.
Think of it not as a movement, but a continuing reaction from within art to art itself. It will always continue as an necessary discourse what art is.

Postal modernism...
That is when a post man goes into a art gallery, shoots everyone and sprays blood all over the walls creating a form of new art...
Everyone else in the art world (after he has left) goes in and strokes their beards and goes
"...hmmm, is this art"

Aren't we into "retro"? I see things that are reminiscent of Art Noveau and mission for sale now. I can't think of a new style or artistic movement that's getting any attention.
