Oh boy, have you opened a can of worms this morning!!!
Personally, I think that a whole lot of the Bible was made up by old guys in the Middle Ages as a way of controlling the masses, but that's just my two cents.

Hey there,
To answer your question, I must get the simple things out of the way. The bible was written for the understanding of life and spiritual needs. By saying this, one may find many kinds of understandings in one verse in any chapter of the bible.
Many people can relate to the parables in the bible as to say that one may find interist in the area of cotemplation of character of joys and losses. Gifts and fruits of the spirit.
Remember this. Bible stands for the following.
B - Basic
i - Instructions
b - before
l - Leaving
e - Earth
Now, one can say that the bible is a work of fiction, ifI say that, where are the authors so that they can get rewards,
I think that it is a master piece of spiritual knowledge that has been passed down, just like any other book.
Take it and read it first before passing judgement because many people can live by it, and seldom some can't, but remember that all knowledge is one and all spirit is one... There is no greater or lesser
Hope this answers your question.
Kind Regards

Well, you're looking at it from another perspective.
What about the Christian's point of view? Of course Christians will defend the Bible based on what is written on it, and include archaeological findings or other ancient writings from reputable sources. So, based on a Christian's point of view, the Bible is "inspired by God." Now, you can't dispute that, can't you?
You may consider it a book of myths, I respect you for that, but please respect the millions of Christians around the world who were inspired, comforted, enlightened, etc. by this book, and who would vehemently oppose your opinion.
You may consider it poorly written, but the Guinness Book of World Records say that its the best seller of all time, and millions all over the world say that it's the best book ever written. You can think otherwise, but you can't dispute facts, can you?
Now, show me proof of any books on Kemetic Orthodoxy that are in Guinness. Can you?

There is much evidence to support your skepticism.
For example out of all of the texts still around written by prolific social commentators (Who lived in the same geographical area at the time of Christ.) none of these manuscripts mention anything about Jesus or most of what took place in the bible....
Its like finding a bunch of old news papers from Atlanta 1996 and finding no mention what ever of anything pertaining to the Olympics... it beggars belief......
Also when you do an analysis on the numeric codes in the bible and also the bible stories themselves most are recycled and match almost exactly myths and legends from earlier religions around the world... most of which share these same common stories and codes........... if you have read "David icke's" work (which is much too over the top for most readers) this is explored in great detail and the sheer number of these is unbelievable.

Nice to see you know it is a myth
Osiris was separated into parts and taken down the Nile ... Because he WAS the harvested crop ... ...
that is why he needed brought back and was buried then resurrected.
Jesus had the same mythical plant life ..
a virgin birth (who knew about pollen?)
a sacrificed death and burial ...
resurrected to give the bread of life and wine of spirit eternally ...
of course myth is believed while truth is discarded ... that fake heaven for the fake eternal soul is a "gotcha" for the gullible.

Only a small part of it is true which changed each time someone told it. It is likeplaying the telephone game, where you ave say 30 people, you start off with person one who says a simple sentence to person two but can not repeat it and passes what was said to the next person in the same manner by the time it gets to the last person you have a short paragraph of what was said. hence the bible.

No. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. Billions of people down through the centuries have proved it to be, - it has shaped and transformed many people's lives. I prove it to be true every day of my life. Don't go on hearsay, beging reading it for yourself. Start in the New Testament in John's Gospel, from a new internaiton living translation, which is easy to understand.

The Bible is NOT a work of fiction. It is NOT false. It is true. And besides, it is not some special story book anyway. If you look into it, it is a guideline to our lives. Some people view it as fiction since is full of God. But if you try the values, virtues, and lessons and apply it to yourself, you can see that you find fulfillment. Try reading, analyzing it.The Bible will be your most favorite book after you read it whole. It may look boring at first, if you look deep into your heart, you sill see for what it is.

There are parts of the bible that can be authenticated by history, but not all of it. Just like with any myth, there is a thread of truth in most of it.
