Just had to help my boyfriend choose a pressy for a 6 year old, that age of little boy is a nightmare to shop for you have my sympathy! We went for Lego in the end. Might seem a bit dull and predictable, but there are loads of vehicles that you can build which have moving parts etc, and most kits make more than one vehicle. This way it is challenging for him to create and then fun to play with. That's what I would go for, but when you say he has 'everything', that might include all the Lego stuff!
Good luck!!

The sponsoring idea is nice especially if he is able to go and visit the animal occassionally. My daughters sponsored donkeys in Norfolk and we made a point of going to see them twice a year...they believed the donkeys were theirs. I ended up sponsoring a pig and a sheep and each time we went a friend of theirs came with us and another animal got sponsored so it had a really good knock on effect.

my kids are around the same age. You can never go wrong with art . Buy tons of construction paper glue and especially glitter ( the parents will thank you later) most kids are dying to be creative since it takes no imagination to play with today's toys.

Sponsor an animal for him! I sponsored two elephants when my sisters were little and they loved getting pictures and updates about their progress. It raises awareness of the need to care for endangered animals and it helps with 'social responsibility'.

Do him a goodie bag (as I call them) fill a birthday bag with all the things you know he likes, such as sweets, chocolates, you know things like that. No matter how big or small the things are, he will love it.
