my aunt has a shitzu of 4 years and i have a pomeranian,but i found that on top of her chest before her throat there is a bulge almost as if her esophogus is stiking out.I find that very odd ,she is tiny but i want to know if that's normal?

If there is a hard feel to it, chances are it's just the breast bone. If you want more peace of mind, get an x-ray from your vet to be sure there are no structural deformities. She may be carrying her head too far back causing her chest to stick out due to a spinal curve (people get them, too). If there is a soft feel, I would definitely get her to the vet.

Of utmost importance is an overall well-balanced dog with no exaggerated features. Sounds like it's either a defect or a medical issue.

Neck - Well set-on flowing smoothly into shoulders; of sufficient length to permit natural high head carriage and in balance with height and length of dog.

Chest -Broad and deep with good spring-of-rib, however, not barrel-chested. Depth of ribcage should extend to just below elbow. Distance from elbow to withers is a little greater than from elbow to ground.
