This last school year, I began dating one of my guy friends of 3 years from college. He was always the mushy one, sending I love you texts daily, and affirming me that I was “the one”. He routinely had me come spend time with his family because “I was going to be part of the family soon”. He made constant comments on how cute our kids would be; We’d drive by parks and he’d want to stop to see if it would work for our wedding. His brother told me he had planned to propose to me the next time I came down to see him. Then two days before I was supposed to come down he called and told me he loves me but has “never been IN love with me”, has been leading me on, I deserve so much better, and that he can’t be my “lover” or be “involved” anymore… but he still “wants to keep our friendship & doesn’t want to lose me”. Now it’s been a month, I’ve only heard from him twice since the breakup & his parents only heard from him once when he needed the number for pizza hut!!!

We hear you. We are sorry that you have to go through what you went through.

Try not to guess his intentions or if there are any motives (good or bad). It is because he is the only person that can truely answer it and by guessing a lot of times we put ourselves in bondage trying to think out something that nobody (except him) can answer.

Get a grip of yourself and move on. I know it's easier said than done but after a few knocks, you can just shake it off.

He's either been leading you on for sex, or has found someone else and is on drugs, or a complete and total ********. I'm betting it's all of the above. Move on with your life, there's better guys out there!!
