There seems to be alot of people on here who believe they know it all and mock others useing empty words, was Jesus talking about them when he said :Matt 23:27
"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. ...??

Funny... I never applied this question to any
individual, so I guess the people that are replying aggressively to this believe they are the ones spoken of.

Any written word, including the bible, is open for interpretation. Some may say no, some may say yes, others may not answer at all.
What is more important than what you are concerned about is: who you are yourself as a person.

Jesus rebuked the teachers of the law and Pharisees because they behaved as they did in order to be seen and to impress men, but not to please God. As for the mockers and those who 'know everything' and use vain words - Jesus advised His followers to "be not deceived, for God is not mocked." Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap".

HAHA Clohe that was hilarious.
Jesus said all kinds of stuff. If it wasn't for "teachers of law" and critical thinking we would still be crapping in dirt.
He does make a good point though...maybe you should apply to your religious teachers instead?

Religion has always stirred up a hornets' nest of arguments and recriminations. I'm just as guilty of this myself.
In all seriousness, people will interpret what they will from these verses. At least you didn't copy half the bible to get your point across.

He was referring to those who live by the letter of the law but do not know God.The law was not given to save men but to condemn them.
All words are empty until you fill them.

Human nature doesn't change throughout history. A good reason why we can learn from the examples in the Bible.

like children who suddenly believe they know so much because they now go to school
lacking experience and wisdom, many become over zealous.
college graduates do that too.
