We don't. Science can provide the answers now and we can prove science is right and god is wrong. So why do people still hold on to their old outdated imaginary friend?

Hey buddy, who told you science has found answers for everything? And science is not always right. Believe me, scientists have still not found any fool-proof answers or solutions for an umpteen number of questions asked by mankind - just one example - birth of the universe? Of course scientists have lots and lots of possible explanations but no real answers. Only God knows and only He can answer the questions. God may be an imaginary friend but He is not outdated bcos He does'nt have an expiry date.

JOHN LENNON:
Some years before during his interview with an American Magazine, he
said:
"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue
about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple.
Today we are more famous than Him" (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus
Christ, was
shot six times.

TANCREDO NEVES (President of Brazil):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500 votes from
his party,
not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the
votes, but he got
sick a day before being made President, then he died.

CAZUZA (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During a show in Canecão
(Rio de Janeiro), whilst smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some
smoke into the air and said:
"God, that's for you."

He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.

THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the
Titanic would be.
With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it"

The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.

MARILYN MONROE:
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He
is a preacher and Evangelist and the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to
her.

After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:

"I don't need your Jesus"

A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

BON SCOTT:
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:

"Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way,
Wow the highway to hell".

On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been
choked by his vomit.

CAMPINAS/SP IN 2005
In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk,
went to pick up a friend.
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the
drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter - holding her hand,
who was already
seated in the car: "MY DAUGHTER, GO WITH GOD AND MAY HE PROTECT
YOU",

She responded: ONLY IF HE (GOD) TRAVELS IN THE BOOT, COZ INSIDE HERE
IT'S ALREADY FULL"

Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal
accident,
everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car
it had been,
but surprisingly, the boot was intact.

The police said there was no way the boot could have remained
intact. To their
surprise, inside the boot was a crate of eggs, none was broken.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other
name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.
Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still
alive. JESUS!!!

Imagine yourself in an aeroplane and you know it is
going to crash...

Who do you turn to for help then ?

Or on a ship in the sea, thrown helplessly up and down
by towering waves ...

There will have been a situation at one time or the
other in your life when you called upon your Creator
alone, forgetting everyone and everything else,
hoping, trusting, wishing that the Being you know in
your heart and soul that has power and control over all
things would help you. The only One you know can
save you!

Scientists, even though they are able to reproduce human and animal life through artificial processes like in-vitro fertilization and cloning, cannot accomplish these feats without the basic elements of human life that consist of genes and cells and other organic properties. Scientists are not able to create these things. Even the processes that are used by scientists to accomplish various procedures originated from a source whose intellect was obviously far greater than those who seek to discover and imitate the creative processes.

There are various ways to know God "Allah", and there are many things to tell about Him. The great wonders and impressive marvels of the world are like open books in which we can read about Allah. Besides, Allah Himself comes to our aid through the many messengers and revelations He has sent down to man. These messengers and revelations tell us about everything we need to know about Allah.

The Atheist position is indeed hopeless. The believer has hope. If there is a God and there is life after death then the believer wins. If there is no God or no life after death the believer loses nothing. On the other hand, the Atheist loses badly if he wakes up to discover himself in the afterlife. In sum, if there is no afterlife both the believer and the Atheist are safe. But if there is an afterlife then the Atheist loses. The only one who can possibly lose is the Atheist.

On the other hand, it is the Atheist who is wasting his life. His life has no purpose but temporary enjoyment. But such enjoyment is always tempered by nagging doubts about whether or not life is heading in the right direction. It is the believer who lives in quiet confidence that God's promise is true.

Man cannot attain to his true humanity and acquire peace of mind unless he realises this aim for which he was created. But how can he do this! God, being merciful and Just, has helped him in many ways. He granted him an originally good nature that is inclined to know and serve its true Lord. He granted him a mind that possesses a moral sense and the ability to reason. He made the whole universe a natural book full of signs that lead a thinking person to God. But to make things more specific, to give him more detailed knowledge of his Lord, and to show him in a more detailed manner how to serve Him, God has been sending down verbal messages through His prophets chosen from among men, ever since the creation of man.

I'm guessing for humility. As science makes progress and theories are advanced, they change. Supposedly, "God" doesn't. In that sense it's a more reliable constant. And it runs on a different paradigm, really. Faith vs Proof.

Sorry, science does not seek to proof.
It only seeks to disprove and keeps whatever verified theories -- knowing there might be limits to those theories.

Religion is based on optimism. Whatever is believed is just it. It is a leap of faith with either positive or negative results.

Well... just my personal opinion.

REALLY?

I heard a joke one time:

God and Science had a little chat. Science said to God, "you know God, humanity doesn't need you anymore. We've pretty much got everything figured out. So thanks." God chuckled and said, "Oh, you have, do you? Well, let's play a little game. Do what I did. Creation. Go." So Science gathers up all it's best scientist throughout the world, and says... "Okay...man, let's see. Out of dirt." So they go to scoop some dirt up, and God says, "Hey. My dirt."

Mankind has not evolved yet to the point where we can cast off the shackles of such deep-rooted mythology. But technological advancement will ultimately change that. Not in our lifetimes though.

You only know less then 1% of all the knowledge of the world, and you would still be pretty smart. If you knew the other 99%, even you would know God.

who told you that ppl think we still need God ? its not a "think" issue it a fact and a very true thing that we must all accept .. its realiity actually its the essence of truth ... its like a child that has gained a Phd and is now saying i dont need my parents ... do u think that at that moment the father would be happy? when their child whom they moulded and everything good for them in the say " i dont bee you " in that same way, God has created us and put us in this world .. he did everything for us , he even sent his only son to die for us ... is this what u are telling him in the end ? that you dont need him .. please do think over what i just wrote seriously ...
