I am naturally an *** when it comes to dealing with ignorance. this deaf-mute is an ***-hole and he uses his disability as leverage against any1 he doesn't like. I laugh at ignorance, and the reason the deaf-mute was yelling at me was because he kept trying to tell me how to do my job and every time he was wrong. in this instant he told me to do something and i didn't really understand what he was saying. Plus his track record for telling me right was less then good. so when i turned to get a second opinion he got offended and start yelling at me. so i told him he was wrong and he got even madder. sure i'm the new guy and he has 17 years on me but he was wrong. i admit i did find it humorous a deaf-mute yelling at me but for the most part i was laughing at his ignorance. then he filed a grievance for me "picking on him." am i wrong for laughing at him. side question: is a deaf-mute wearing CD headphones funny. can or can't i laugh at this

First of all I cant see how a deaf mute could talk to you let alone yell......maybe he is offended because you dont understand what his true condition is....take time to find out.....

Ok you display a great deal of ignorance yourself. First of all if you knew anything about the Deaf Culture, you would know that it is NEVER acceptable to call someone "mute". Also, just because a person is Deaf doesn't mean they cannot hear anything. Cd's and especially bass in music help deaf people and most enjoy the rhythm they can hear, even if it isn't as loud as we could hear it. Everyone has different levels of hearing-Deaf and Hearing people. I'm sorry he is being irresponsible and cruel to you-but you aren't exactly the most educated person yourself.

Yes certainly you must be nice and treat him differently, because he is a deaf and mute. You do not treat him rudely. You can speak to others his shortcoming. It is a God's decree. You must treat him politely and him to speak to in his manner. You do not laugh at him.He is very sensitive. He is easily get angry. You must answer his yelling kindly.

he shouldn't use his disability in this way but right or wrong you have to be careful otherwise you won't have a job for long. there are different ways to handle a situation where you disagree with someone without laughing at them. remember your job may be on the line.

if he's deaf he can't hear you, if he's mute he can't speak. that precludes you having an argument he couldn't have yelled at you.................were you imagining the whole thing or making it up just to stir the s*** ?
