I have been married for 25 years and you need to love someone to be with them that long. Marriage and what it means changes as you go through the years. At first, it's mostly physical. Lots of lovemaking and romance. As the years go by it goes into more a deep respect and comfort because the other person has seen all of your bad and all of your good and they still love you anyway.

usually, i say usually one can not exist without the other. but, being married will never mean that you are automatically happy. if you are truly in love though, i feel that you can't help but be happy.
