My ex-boyfriend after leaving me a year ago to fix some self-issues had been trying to win me back. After ive made it clear to him im just want us to be friends.. he finally agreed and promise to be just a friend, although, I can still feel that he seems to just wait for the time that I would become a little more optimistic about giving the relationship another chance. We’re really good friends.
Yesterday while we were talking after church because we go to the same church, he opened up his plans to work in another country and he said “My only purpose is to earn more money and the most I’ll spend time there is five years then I’ll come back here.”
So I said, “It’s ok even if you don’t come back here, after you earn your citizenship, you could petition your family for migration and your little sister could better education.”
He was silent for a while.. Then he said, “I’m not working abroad anymore, I’ll just stay here.”
WHAT’S THE MEANING OF THAT?????????????

You know why he said that. Deep down you know why he was going to work abroad. You sounded like you wanted him out of your life and he was hoping you were going to miss him. He still wants to be with you. It is like you are stringing this guy along. He can't be just friends with you because his feelings for you are just way to strong.

Sounds like he was hoping that you would say, "I'll wait for you". But because you didn't tell him that, he feels he should stay there with you. In the hopes of winning you over.

he wants you to go with him. or he wanted you to say that you would wait for him. wasn't that a bit obvious. you know how he feels about you, don't question it other wise. maybe he just said that to find out what you would say. he obviously still cares about you if he is telling you these things. they are personal things.

There is NO good friends after you had an involvement its just bullshit !! if you dont like him to be your man please do him a BIG favor TELL him your friendship is also OVER.
He will cry maybe drink for 3 months then get on with his life please help him atleast succeed in his life !!

oh dont upset yourself. he just wanted to know what youre reaction would be if he was really leaving. perhaps he didnt really have any plans working abroad.
