logic tells us that u don't punish someone 4 doing something that is according to ur will. that means it was not God's will 4 them to eat from the fruit if he punished them after that.
God gave us free choice so that Adam and Eve could choose not to obey God, just like Satan (who was previously an angel).
Adam and Eve had everything they needed and they showed lack of appreciation 4 all the things they had just like many ppl today show lack of appreciation for their existance.

Because obedience has to be tested and learned. Also free will has to be exercised via moral choices. The environment has to be provided so that Adam and Eve can make choices, learn discernment and obedience. And remember, Adam and Eve had it easy, they had no fallen nature to predispose them to sin, nor were they slapped with 101 "thou shall nots". It was only one simple restriction, and they flopped big time.

I question that part of the bible to be completely true. Just like Noah's ark. How in the heck can the earth re popluate people that fast in and we as a human race are as diverse in race as we are. Not possible. The same goes for the animals.

you will also notice that there were two trees. the other was the tree of life. they could only eat from one of these trees. again, free will.

Free Will. In order for man to love God truthfully, man must love with total freedom.
Free Will was given by God to man in order for man to love God, to do good and "follow Him".
This is the reason why God has to instruct man in order for man to know what is pleasing and what is not pleasing with God.

Read Paradise Lost by John Milton.
He explains it.
Paraphrased-enforced obedience isn't realy obedience.

Because if we didn't have the freedom to choose whether to obey, we would not have had true freedom. But they chose. . . poorly.
