They ask a question, get the benifit of global responces, then ignore the people who have taken their time to give answers. These people display their disregard for those who caringly give them solutions to their delemars. That SUCKS! So typical of the ME generation! What do you think!

No, it doesn't at all.
Fact is, there are a lot of very good and very different answers out there. I would imagine that it would be very difficult to figure out just which one is best.
By giving the question up to a vote is like asking for continual information. It allows the asker to see what is the popular answer.
Seems to me you can only get the complete information if you put it to a vote, discover what is simply opinion and what is popular opinion.
As for what difference does popular opinion makes?
Makes Presidents.
Makes Oscar Awards.
Best athletes!
T.V. programming.
Peace.
War.
Deforestation.
Saving the Condor.
Education.
Religions.
Space Station.
Terrorism.
Governments.
The UN.
Electricity.
Marriage.
Inflation.
Health Plans.
So, I wouldn't think of leaving it to a vote as ignoring us or simply dismissing us.
It is a chance to further your influence by completing your answer and receiving validation.

I think that it's wrong to game for points. It's not like they're ever gonna turn into cash, anyway!
I answer questions because, well... I like telling people what to do and it's their choice whether they take the advice or not. Maybe there are more good answers and the asker doesn't know which one to choose or doesn't want to discriminate. Take your pick!
And again, if the points on yahoo! answer were turning into cash, I could understand why you are so upset, but now....
