"legality is a simply a matter of geography"
Jimmy Stewart (in Mr Smith Goes to Washington)
Laws are different in different places, you should tell us where you are. Apparently it's legal to do that in the Philipines!

It doesn't seem much different than body piercing, which is not illegal. Just be sure that you don't let yourself become permanently disabled or let yourself die from it.
As a side note, I can understand someone's desire to experience what Christ experienced, even though I have no desire to go through His torture because He already did it for us. You may want to remember that Saint Peter was crucified in Rome (not by his own choice!) and he requested that he be crucified up-side-down because he felt he did not deserve to die like his Lord Jesus. By the way, I'm not even a Christian ;)

I would guess that this practice is not only illegal but also foolish and very stupid to do. Christ doesn't want you to feel how he felt on the cross. Christ want you to love your neighbor be generous to the poor and visit the widow and take care of the needy. By doing this to those people, you will be doing it to Christ. Your work regarding salvation is worthless. Only Him that has the power to save can save you. God bless you.

listen man, there's better ways to feel what jesus felt. why don't you try getting out into the world and livving like jesus lived, instead of dying like he died? I guarnatee, if you are out there, you will see more amazing things than jesus saw, face more persecution than he did, and feel more pain than he did. But whne I say get out there, I mean really get out there.
man... the idea of nailing yourself to a cross to feel what jesus felt... seems kinda lazy to me. like, you don't even have to do anything.

Why on earth would you want to feel that anyway? Just seems strange to me.
Christ went through that for a reason.
Read the New Testament and you will learn more about it.
And, it might kill you anyway. Why would you want to do something so foolish and drastic as that anyway?

The definition of suicide is to intentionally end ones own life. I'm pretty sure that crucifying yourself would qualify. If you were successful it wouldn't matter but if you fail, attempted suicide is a felony offense

Not if you dont tell anyone and try to get attention out of it....as well didnt Jesus do that so you didnt have to? Doesnt that make his crucifixition less special if everyone does it? Not being offensive, just wondering.

you don't need to show Jesus your appreciation by suffering yourself. just stick to the ten commandments, it's better than crucifying yourself. i'm not sure about the legal part, but my guess is: as long as it's on your property, then it's your freedom to do what you want.

Ummm....Is this a joke? haha...
Well, anyway, Suicide is in fact illegal, but why should it matter?
Just because suicide is illegal, doesn't stop people from killing themselves. It's not like somebody can say "if you kill yourself we'll put you in jail!" haha!
So if you want to crucify yourself, and die, go ahead, and have fun.
