I have this friend who says she has got this boy who says he loves her but he has not really said it. Could it be that he is shy or he is really afraid of the position it would put him in if he says it

It is possible. When I first started dating my husband I knew I loved him in my heart. But I did not want to tell him until I was definately sure I couldn't be wrong about my loving him. So it took me awhile to say it to him even after he had said it to me before. And maybe the person doesn't want to say it because they are afraid that after they say i love you they will get their heart broken. It is hard to know what the persons reasonings are. But don't force love-if the person really truly feels it-I'm sure they'll say it when the time is right. :)

i've lost all of my intelligence when love entered my life again..but for the fact that i can be frank..i stopped myself.knowing that it may only cause me relief but just for now but might cause the guy and his a gal a long term prob in the relationship.and i don't wanna be the cause of the break up..so what i do for now is kept my mouth shut and as much as possible, keep my feelings to myself and remain as his friend.though it takes a lot of courage to do that coz it will definitely hurt you..but come to think of it,sometimes things happen on the most weirdest way..but in the end, your pain ,suffering and sacrifices would be rewarded more than from what you expected.it's like a blessing in disguise.just be watchful for it or else..you might lose your chance for good...

I think that the guy is afraid of rejection or he is afraid that he might lose the girl and the friendship that they had.. that's why he never speak of his own feelings...

but for me.. I will not tell.. just give him a hint...

i was stuck in the same position. i was more afraid of the awkwardness the situation it would cause. sadly, my story doesn't have a happy ending..... but to every man his own, and maybe u'll get a different outcome!

it completely depends on the friendship, i mean how close and how frank they are...the time also matters,,,if the relationship is new say about a month only,,, i don think it will be possitive,, but exception are there,, but if its been long way den i think there are chances but all us keep waiting for chances,,, rather than making chnaces for ourself.....lol.

if u realy love a person tell them, bcoz what if by not telling that person means u gonna loose her to somebody else, maybe that person was yr sole mate and u lost that perso by not telling her those three words.

really the man should go and tell her that he loves her but that has to be between them if you get involved then it will mess up and blame it on you so just make her ask him

Speak it aloud! Otherwise it may just be a passing thought.
