Under the rules of modern warfare (oxymoron), yes, they can. It's unfortunate, sad, heartrending, disturbing etc... to see the suffering that the innocent civilian population of Lebanon is enduring. It is not going to stop until Hizbollah backs off. The Israelis will not back down, and as long as Hizbollah hides behind the skirts of the women and children of Lebanon and continues their attacks, Israel will keep coming.
Tony... Dude, it must be nice to walk through this world in the fog of stupidity that obviously surrounds you. I wish I had the luxury of sewing up a complex geopolitical situation into a nice neat little bag as simply as your pea brain does. In my world, facts get in the way of this. Oh yeah... and such a way with words. You need to quit whatever fast food job you have and go on the road as an orator.

You are a retard. Israel is retaliating against Hezbollah and taking matters into their own hands because the Lebanese government has done nothing to reign in that activities of this terrorism operation within their own borders.

Secondly, the reason that house with women and children was struck by an Israeli rocket, was because Hezbollah had an installation within thirty yards of that house from which they were firing rockets into Israel.

Do Israelis not die from terrorist activities, yet how are they to effectively respond if they have these impossible limitations of humanitarianism which the terrorists can exploit to protect themselves.

Almost certainly, Hezbollah knew that by firing from that particular location, either Israel would not retaliate, because it was a civilian district, or else in trying to destroy that site they would kill civilians.

These people commit suicide bombings, sacrifice life and limb in their maniac causes, etc. etc. etc. and do you think that they cared that by firing missiles from within thirty yards of a safe house for women and children that they would almost certain induce recursions that would threaten the lives of those women and children.

God Almighty, You are one ****** up retard, aren't you?

Terrorists and their supporters have lost the right to complain about civilian casualties, since all they have is one goal: this entire war is to target civilians. Every single one of the more than 2,500 rockets launched into Israel, is launched into populated towns filled with women and children.

Don't cry to me about civilian casualties.

Cry to those using babies and wives and mothers; cry to those who store weapons in mosques, ambulances, hospitals and private homes.

Cry to those launching deadly rockets from the backyards of kindergartens and schools.

Cry to the heartless men who love death, and however many of their troops or civilians die, consider themselves victorious as long as they can keep on firing rockets at Israel's women and children.

It is spelled Israel

The state of Israel is facing difficult and challenging days, as we fight for the safety and peace of our society. The war against the Iranian and Syrian Hezbollah terror gangs started 18 days ago, on an early Wednesday morning, when two IDF vehicles patrolling the border were deliberately attacked on Israeli soil. This attack on Israeli sovereign land was committed with no provocation. This attack was accompanied by salvos of rockets hitting Israeli towns and villages. The aftermath left 8 Soldiers dead and 2 kidnapped by Hezbollah terror gang.

Hezbollah claimed that the abduction of the soldiers was done in order to get Israel to release Lebanese citizens held in Israeli jails, mainly the terrorist Samir Kuntar. This "freedom fighter" serves 3 life sentences for murdering a whole family in cold blood back in 1979. [The Haran family, Father Danny (28) and his two daughters Einat (4) and Yael (2)].

The Government of Israel decided that this provocation will have its price and that Israel will not be taken hostage by a terror organization nor tolerate attacks on its citizens and soldiers.

It has been almost two weeks since the fighting has erupted. The Israeli Air Force launched more then 2000 air strikes against terror installations in Lebanon, the country that gives hospitality to terror. One of the most important goals was to level the nest of the terror gang in Southern Beirut to the ground. Hezbollah has shot more then 1000 Katyusha rockets against the civilian population in the Northern towns and cities of Israel. 20 soldiers and 17 Israeli citizens, (Jews and Arabs) were killed since Hezbollah initiated its provocation.

Again, there are demonstrations against Israel all over the world. Israel is accused for everything that is wrong and unjust. Those supporters of Islamic terror tend to forget that it is in a terrorist’s nature to use civilian population as human shields. The rising death toll on both sides serves Hezbollah’s purpose in the media. Hezbollah knows exactly what it is doing when it builds its headquarters in the middle of Lebanese cities, and when it fires rockets from the inside private homes, schools and mosques. "If you sleep with snakes, you can't be surprised when you finally get bitten."

The Israeli government has declared that it will not allow the terrorists to return to its borders, Hezbollah on the other hand has vowed to destroy Israel. Hezbollah is equipped and supported by Iran, whose leader claimed more than once that Israel has no right to exist and should be eliminated.

Only the future will tell in what shape this war will leave the Middle East and the world. The population of Israel is determined to suffer and bite lips in order to bring peace and stability once and for all. This is not only the battle of Israel, it is the main battle in the war of the Western free and democratic society against the evil dark forces that grew and developed in blackish holes of Damascus, Teheran and Baghdad. Their only goal is to destroy the western culture and society and to impose their shadowy and primitive values on us all.
