Ok, so I'm 16 and I've never had a boyfriend. Whenever I get a crush on someone I never work up the courage to actually talk to them. I'm an extremely shy person even though I perform all the time in dance recitals. My best friend is always saying that I should just "write a note" to them and give it to them in class. I keep telling her that this doesn't make sense. If I like someone, but they don't know me well, why would I just randomly pass them a note in class asking them out or something, plus I'm too shy to do that. So my question is, what are some techniques I could use to get guys to notice me for my personality not just my looks, how can I talk to them without getting nervous, how can I start a friendship with a guy that will lead to a Bf/Gf relationship. Pretty much all my guy friends are gay, and the ones that aren't I never have talked to ever because they were only in one of my classes a year and I never saw them again except during passing periods and they "forgot who I was". HELP!!!

I'm on Dance Team but I'm not "popular" but I'm not a loner without friends, people just assume me as being shy or quiet so they don't really notice me that much unless they aske me a question about an assignment.

There's no such rule that every 16yr old should have a BF. It's completely normal, most people have serious relationships when they're much older. Don't just try to be one of the crowd. Don't wait for some guy to like you. Live your life and enjoy it, be confident and outgoing and you'll see the change.

Aww..this is so sweet...and sad at the same time... I am kind of in the same situation. I'm 17, turning 18 in four months and I have never had a serious relationship. Guys in high school are tough to be friends with. They are all in clicks or they all have their own friends already. I joined some clubs and got a TON of new friends, both guys and girls. Having a guy/girl friendship that will lead to more is all about the connection and chemistry between the two of you. Something just has to click for it all to work out. You shouldn't worry so much about having a b/f. I'm a year older than you and I still dont' have one and I'm having the time of my life in high school! I'm going to be a senior next year and although I do admit that I get lonely sometimes, its so much fun being able to go to football games, and the after parties, to hang out with my friends and do the things that I love doing and not having to worry about someone else first. High school is all about finding out who you are, by yourself. What you want, what your goals are, etc. Don't get me wrong, I go on plenty dates..but thats not what my life revolves around.

Don't fear approximately it I used to be a little bit participant while I used to be more youthful. I could have like nine boyfriends at one time lol. I did not do whatever sexually with them however it used to be simply a laugh. My bestfriend at the different under no circumstances, ever had a boyfriend till she used to be 18. At 18 she met a boy and had her first kiss with him and the whole lot. Everone is one of a kind. You'll ordinarily feel you ignored out since you waited see you later to have a boyfriend and others who had boyfriends will ordinarily feel they ignored out since all they did used to be spend time with their boyfriend. The best bad factor is that it'll be a little bit extra aqward for you whilst you do have your first boyfriend. Other than that regardless that revel in you existence how ever you wish. There is any person in the market for each person while the time is correct. oh and incidentally any man will sleep with any lady. It truthfully has not anything to do with appears. We all obtained the object they wish lol. It will likely be so a lot more valued at it while it's any person you quite like. Don't promote your self quick. Looks like you just got a rough case of shyness. There are a few things you can do:
1. Visualize yuorself talking with yuor already guy friends
2. Replace the images of your guy friends with the person you want to talk to.
3. As you are talking to the person in your mind, think of what you would say to him, and what you think he might say back.
This kind of technique works with alot of stressfull meeting situations, like a job interview. Which in this case is sor tof the same thing. you are interviewing someone as well as they are getting to know you. You have the confidence to perform in a dance recital, so use that confiden to talk to the guys. Assure yourself that you are the wonderful person you are and show that confidence!!!

I know u feel shy and all but sometimes u just have to over come ur fears. like if a boy u like sits next to u just say something simple. like "hi. how are you?" and to keep the conversationg going after that talk aboutsome event at school (if he goes to ur school) or the weather-just easy not personal stuff like that. then if u seem to like him and he seems into u-then u can start asking more personal question-like maybe about his family or a pet-or whatever. And like i said-i know your shy and you get nervous-but we all are at one point in time. Just try not to let the other person know that u are. Good luck with the boys! :)

You've got time. Plenty of time. Believe me, a relationship is not something you want to rush into! Been there, done that. Broke my heart! You are only 16. I know you feel empowered at that age, but your infatuation will only bring you into trouble if you don't force yourself to wait a little longer.

First thing you need to do is find some non gay males! Then just start flappin your chops girl. Ask him questions about himself. Talk about the latest hit movie. The more you do it the easier it will get.
