I have a significant other who blames all her woes, inabilities and anxieties on my sisters, imaginary girlfriends and concubines (who usually are acquintances or coworkers). She is afraid of the dark, reacts to issue in confrontational manner and generally very anxious about trivial things. She does not believe in socializing.

She's probably been hurt by someone in a way she can't even put into words... this in turn snowballed into a state of being in which she no longer feels anything negative is hers to own and be the cause of... We've all been hurt in some way, minor or significant, and we have to learn to get over it and move on... How coincidental would it REALLY be for YOUR sisters and EVERY woman in your life to get together into a scheme of ruining the life of one particular person? NOT EVEN LIKELY!!! She fears being alone because then she won't have someone to love her; yet, she prefers to "be" alone, socially, so no one leaves her or hurts her... It's a pretty vicious cycle... AND unless said person is willing to see the reality and seek help in any positive matter or form, all this self destructive behavior is gonnna get worse and end up not only making her more miserable, but it will also hurt everyone around her. Think about this LONG and HARD... are you willing to put up with it, help her get through it, or leave her to deal with it on her own and ruin some other person? Be honest about how you feel with her... if she comes around, then she's worth everything, otherwise, save yourself and your future... God Luck and Best Wishes to the both of you, regardless,,,

Very gently recommend that she seek help from a therapist or a support group.

Trade her in on a new model. Serious.

SHOULD A SEEKER NOT FIND A COMPANION WHO IS EQUAL OR BETTER. LET HIM RESOLUTELY FOLLOW A SOLITARY COURSE. THERE IS NO FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FOOL
