Yes, if they have an open mind. Salem made things terrifically hard for witches. I don't particularly want to be around except for maybe Samantha and Tabitaha...I'd love to clean house like that and do the shopping...just kidding...laugh okay, smile, please.
I think all that people have ever heard is the bad stuff and never the good.

Nobody fears witches like they used to. Say "witch" to most people and the first thing that will come to their mind is the Harry Potter books. And most people have no belief in mystical arts so even if you told them you were a witch they'd just think you light incense in your room and chant to a styrofoam skull. So I don't think society fears witches, but I don't think it takes them seriously either.

People are stupid & ignorant of the reality around them. If it is spewed forth by some religious zealot, they will believe it unto death!

I know that you will drowned if I throw you into a river in a sack but that is the test right? A real witch will not drowned! How damned stupid?!

Tolerance is what should be taught!

If it were taught maybe I would be more tolerant of stupid people...

nah!

I still can't believe that people believe in the bible, I would gladly accept a witch to my home long before I would ever let a Cristian in the door.

Yes some day, but as long as you have the radical right in the public spot light they will tell people anything, and a lot of people will believe them, and that is sad really.

Probably not. That is why the Hermetic Quaternary is To Know, To Will, To Dare, and most importantly, TO KEEP SILENT! My religious beliefs are not for public display, nor are they anyone else's business. I wear no outward signs or symbols of my belief; they are not necessary. If asked, I will tell you of my spirituality and answer questions you may have. Do I expect most non-Pagans to understand and feel comfortable with it? No. Most of our population grew up with a peripheral knowledge of Christianity even if they are not actively practicing. And to most of those people, witchcraft is an evil abomination, denounced by their holy text. My faith is carried in my heart. I view those "witches" who drape themselves in pentacles and Renaissance garb as akin to those "Christians" who drape themselves with crucifixes and pepper their conversations with bible quotes. Overkill. As I said, faith is carried in the heart and is between you and your God, Goddess, Deity, Spirit, or whatever you call your higher power. It requires no acceptance from anyone but you. You can change no one but yourself.

not in this generation, but we could start a new genearation for future witches. explaining to pple about witchcraft and how it's not bad sometimes helps. but i agree most think we worship the devil. my own mother thinks that. i hope someday it will stop.
Blessed be.

witches exist so I except their existance....but as seemingly harmless, fascinating and interesting their rituals may seem, they are still on Gods "no no" list. No one who practices witchcraft can enter heaven.
