When you date a man in his 50's+, and you want a committment from him, they just totally leave you without saying a word, just that it's not your fault.

I'm a man in my 50's. I've had it with "commitments" with people who wish to control what's left of my life.
According to the insurance companies I (and other men my age) am better than 2/3's through our natural life cycle.
I would, however, be very content with someone who accepted me for what I've grown to become. This includes my schedule. I enjoy going out with my pals whenever I want to without having to answer to someone. I am a grownup after all and would afford the same courtesy to my partner.
As far as someone leaving without saying anything to you...well I hope you didn't deserve that. That was really rough, rude and I'm sure very hurtful. I'm very sorry for you.

Men act like jerks because women allow them to act that way. Why should he change if he can find another hoochie who will give it out without asking for a commitment?

What do you expect a man to do, if you want him to make a commitment, but he doesn't want to? In that situation, maybe it's kinder for him to leave than lead you on.
Having said that, I would agree with you, most men are jerks. It's just the way we are. Sorry.

because most women and jerks to a lot more then men are some women wont even give guys the time of day i am real glad he walk out on you.there a saying what come around go around and in your case it came around lol

Something you need to learn quickly, is most men are jerks. I believe the best thing to do is go out have fun and don't count on meeting anyone worthwhile.

we're all not like that.that sounds pretty cowardly.i'm 51,if it's not working,its probably because of a lack of communication,relationships are a series of compromises.you gotta know what each other wants,if you can't deliver say so,don't slink off.
