Nehushtan, in the Bible, brazen serpent made by Moses. It was eventually worshiped by the Israelites, and Hezekiah destroyed it.

The staff was a serpent on a pole which Moses made in the wilderness (Numbers 21:4–9) in obedience to God's directions. At the time, the Israelites were being attacked by poisonous snakes and were dying. After Moses made the staff, any who were bitten and looked at it, survived the snakebite (II Kings 18:4; Num. 21:4-10).

While most of the references to serpents in the Bible are negative, Jesus is reported to have compared his own person and the crucifixtion to Nehushtan. Referring to his forthcoming crucifixtion, Jesus said "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:14-15).

Well .. actually in Exodus .. Moses casts his staff down and it becomes a snake- when he is dueling with the Egyptian mages ..

But in truth there were many Ophidian Gnostic cults.. and a few that we have surviving scriptures from .. And in some of these, yes .. they had Jesus as the snake in the garden of Eden ..

Bare in mind .. the Christians burned as many of these scriptures as they could, just as they burned the "Chrstian" adherents of these "anathemas" ...The Christians ended up executing many fellow Gnostic Christians ...

The Jesus as the Snake in the Garden of Eden Gnostic scripture .. luckily survived and was recovered in the Nag Hammadi find in Egypt ...

I'm glad you didn't off yourself the other night little deathchild ... Parting would have been "such sweet sorrow" ..adieau..adieau

That's incredibly out of context. Read Numbers 21:8, and you'll see what it is talking about.

God Bless!
