They showed remarkable faith in God.
Ruth, because she was not a Jew but a gentile, She chose to stay with her mom-in-law and serve God. She also went through alot of hardships but she was rewarded for her loyalty.
Eshter, she put her fate and that of her fellow Jews in the hands of God. So God assisted her and her uncle and the Jews were saved from being killed.
Both women showed remarkable strenght, loyalty and faith. They also serve as an example that women do not always have to be put on the sidelines.
Peace:-)Veritas

because they were women that obeyed God and proved a turning part in the Jewish history. Ruth - she was Davids great-grandma and Esther was the first person to get rid of Mordicai and have a Jewish person instead in a foreign land.
