JEST21 asked me "look.. your 1st point says women are twin halves of men.. then why can't women do the same? Why aren't' the women having multiple husbands and sex slaves?" here u got my answer...
A lot of people, including some Muslims, question the logic of allowing Muslim men to have more than one spouse while denying the same ‘right’ to women.
Let me first state emphatically, that the foundation of an Islamic society is justice and equity. Allah has created men and women as equal, but with different capabilities and different responsibilities. Men and women are different, physiologically and psychologically. Their roles and responsibilities are different. Men and women are equal in Islam, but not identical.
The following points enumerate the reasons why polyandry is prohibited in Islam:

1. If a man has more than one wife, the parents of the children born of such marriages can easily be identified. The father as well as the mother can easily be identified. In case of a woman marrying more than one husband, only the mother of the children born of such marriages will be identified and not the father. Islam gives tremendous importance to the identification of both parents, mother and father. Psychologists tell us that children who do not know their parents, especially their father undergo severe mental trauma and disturbances. Often they have an unhappy childhood. It is for this reason that the children of prostitutes do not have a healthy childhood. If a child born of such wedlock is admitted in school, and when the mother is asked the name of the father, she would have to give two or more names!

2. Man is more polygamous by nature as compared to a woman.

3. Biologically, it is easier for a man to perform his duties as a husband despite having several wives. A woman, in a similar position, having several husbands, will not find it possible to perform her duties as a wife. A woman undergoes several psychological and behavioral changes due to different phases of the menstrual cycle.

4. A woman who has more than one husband will have several sexual partners at the same time and has a high chance of acquiring venereal or sexually transmitted diseases which can also be transmitted back to her husband even if all of them have no extra-marital sex. This is not the case in a man having more than one wife, and none of them having extra-marital sex.

The above reasons are those that one can easily identify. There are probably many more reasons why Allah, in His Infinite Wisdom, has prohibited polyandry.

In whatever culture, Islam or otherwise the women's primary role is a helpmate and they are required to be in submission to their husband. Granting that you are allowed to have many husband do you want to be in submission to all of them, serving them? Secondly, man is possesive in nature and once he has a wife he will not share her to any man unless you are separated or divorced.

Men are called polygamous and if in a culture they are allowed to have many wives it is somewhat acceptable but with women having many husband it is condenming.

Surah Nisa’ Chapter 4 verses 22 to 24 gives the list of women with who you can not marry and it is further mentions in Surah Nisa’ Chapter 4 verse 24 "Also (prohibited are) women already married"

The following points enumerate the reasons why polyandry is prohibited in Islam:
1. If a man has more than one wife, the parents of the children born of such marriages can easily be identified. The father as well as the mother can easily be identified. If a child born of such wedlock is admitted in school, and when the mother is asked the name of the father, she would have to give two or more names! I am aware that recent advances in science have made it possible for both the mother and father to be identified with the help of genetic testing. Thus this point which was applicable for the past may not be applicable for the present.

Firstly when you research the religion of Islam you realize it is one which represses and opresses women. Islam and Muslims alike do not agree that women and men are created equally.

In Islam women are to be conquered and subdued. Women are not to speak out against a man whether he be her son or husband. In Islam a woman's wants or desires are not taken into consideration at all.

In the Koran men are taught that once they die and if they have raged jihad's on people who disagree with them then will receive 12 virgins when they get into heaven. Polygamy is considered a good thing amongst Islamic men.

The reason most muslims do not agree with this is because they have read the Koran in it's English form. But statistics show that only 20% of muslims have read the Koran in it's entire form in the Arab language. It is impossible to have the true understanding of what the Koran is actually saying without reading it in Arab. Any person who has truly studied this religion knows that. When you read it in Arab, meanings change.
You see it for what it is.

Lastly not all religions repress women. Mormonism is not christianity. The mormons CLAIM to be christians and to believe what traditional christian doctrine states. But that is false. Mormons have a bible that they made up which is at most somewhere between 100 and 150 yrs existing. When the traditional bible first dates from back to 6000 years ago. That is why it is the oldest and most accurate reading that exists.

Prophecys have been foretold even existing from 3000 years ago that are actually occurring now. That is why it is important to read for yourself and study and show yourself approved. It is easy to judge when you have not read or have no fundamental basis for that judgment.

I suggest you do the same for the Koran, but please do it in it's original form and that is in the native Arab language. Go to your local library and they should have an existing copy in Arab. You may have to make copies.

Rebuttal:

1. There are many ways to determine the exact father of the child, including date of conception, genetic traits, and DNA testing.

2. Scientific evidence, or at least a reasonable explation for this?

3. Again, where's the evidence or explanation?

4. Huh? How can a woman transmit STD's but a man can't? That makes no sense.

EVEN IF ANY1 BUYS INTO THAT RUBBISH, u forget that a man can divorce his wife by chanting talaq 3 times, where is the security of women in islam. A man can marry many times while if the previous wife disagrees he can simply divorce her without anything being done by any1. And if the man marries without his wifes consent what can she do. Do u know how the law runs in muslim countries. Women in dispair are always prosecuted instead of being supported. If the go to the cops they say something must be wrong with the women if her huaband did this and the treat her with disrespect.

Islam does not sanction 'Bas-tards' to roam around on roads...
A wife with a single husband will lead to a legitimate birth..
While a wife with many husbands (all working on her together) can never be sure who a subsequent child belongs to...

further more the religion of Islam permits polygamy...but it is governed by strict rules and regulations..
there should be a genuine reason to take in another wife..
For eg. If the couple have been unable to conceive a child together..The husband might want to marry another woman to 'trigger' a family...

Let it be known to all critics..That to marry a second time..whilst your first wife is with you is not allowed unless you have your wife's consent in this regard.
And incase you marry more than once..It is 'wajib' (neccassary) to give both wives equal treatment and share of wealth and security...
If the man is not able to balance with justice he is required to release the wife he canot be fair to and this entails a heavy part of the mans wealth...
Polygamy in Islam can not continue with any of the wife being suppressed!

However if you are affluent enough and have enough wealth and fortune to give a woman enough to lead a smooth life..than it has no problem as marriages tend to be blesings for women and men and it gives an otherwise ordinary women a status in the society.

anyone has any questions regarding the rules of Marriage in Islam..do contact me..

thanks

#4. Why is a woman more likely to transmit disease between several husbands than a husband between several wives? If someone is having sex with multiple partners, they increase their risk of catching and transmitting diseases.

Based on what you've written, Allah does not think men and women are equal. Reread what you wrote. It is basic female oppression rationalized under circular arguments and false generalizations.

ALL religions repress women. Men want control and religion is one way to do it.

Men just want to have loads of sex with no responsibility. IF women act the same way, they are sluts.

Look at Mormonism. Look at how Christians say women should not speak in church. Orthodox Jewish women who shave their heads and wear wigs. Hindu women thrown on the funeral pyre of their husbands.

The shackles of religious superstition hold women down.
