I have noticed this. By way of answering the question, people sometimes abuse using bad language...which I find unacceptable. If they find the question disgusting or unacceptable, they can refrain from answering.......some people try to be humourous or sarcastic.....So if this is the general situation then what about those people who carefully or sympathetically analyse the question and try to come up with best possible answers.... are they fools? Is it OK to report abuse?

You have a number of good questions here. One problem is that people do use their sense of humor here which can be good or bad depending on the question.

When people come from different cultures, the possibilities for misunderstanding are multiplied. So, maybe some people are not disrespecting you but just talking the way they usually talk.

So, you have the right and should report some people but be careful that you are not missing a joke. I hate dirty language but some things are borderline.

I would not be bothered if someone said, "What the hell!" That only means why not? or let's do it.

Language is very tricky, especially on the Internet, where you can't look at a person to see if he/she is joking or being mean.

On those people with bad sense of humour and sarcasm, if you think that their answers are insulting or they aren't answers at all then you have the right to abuse them, if you don't some people out here are reporting abuse ( Not only Edna). I posted a question that somebody said something not really nice, but I haven't reported abuse, but the next day his answer was gone. Then I have notice the someone have reported him. Those who make stupid, nasty joke are meant to be reported and for those who are trying to give a best answer, 10 points they deserve.

Of course it's okay to report abuse! That's what that button is there for. In this world, you will always find that although your group may be for the most part decent, you will find people who are deliberately trying to cause problems, and still others who do it out of ignorance. Usually when someone is blatantly disregarding other people's feelings, their intent is to get a reaction. So the best reaction is simply to report them and then leave a comment saying your reported them. It's not even necessary to leave a comment, you can report them completely anonymously. It's a small way to prevent it, but it's the best thing we can do. It's like calling the police in real life....it may not always fix the problem...but it's all we can do. There will always be more bad guys than people out there to stop them. The only way we can help them do their job is to report abuse when we see it happen.

Ok, I'm trying very hard not to abuse you here, but here's a suggestion - try good using good grammar and spelling, ask a serious question and expect serious answers. If anyone has anything to say that doesn't answer the question, or is abusive, then just ignore the comment or report them.

PS your question is actually a statement with a question mark at the end of it - this is just an observation, not a rude remark!

There are all kinds of people in this world. Different people have different sense of humour. So misunderstandings can arise.

If it really annoys you, then report abuse but remember that some noise can be a good thing. For example comfort noise in the environment is more pleasant than no noise at all.

If u find the question disgusting or unaccepable u can refrain from reading it if its your own question and people are being rude or sarcastic that is saying more about their foolishness which has nothing to do with you something to consider; if someone gives you something and you do not accept it then who does it belong to? word up

It depends on the question.

To be honest, some questions here appear to be there to bait others into replying.

Those answers tend to get the most negative sarcastic answers.

There are other questions which tend to get dodgy answers - they tend to be ones about young girls having issues and blokes advising how they can correct them... "Come over to my place sweety!"

Reporting Abuse is the only defense against bad language, hatred soliciting and such. If you think someone is being obscene or insulting, yes, feel free to hit the report abuse.

I say don't report people. No one likes a snitch! Why report them? If you don't like it, just ignore it. Some people answer questions seriously, some answer to be funny and witty. Let people enjoy themselves on here and answer as they wish, and perhaps you'll have fun by reading funny answers and actually learn something from the people with good advice. It's not foolish to answer questions seriously, and likewise, it's not foolish to answer questions wittily. Live and let live.
