Put a towel on the floor, put the cat on the middle and push her down til she is layng on her stomach with legs bent, then wrap the towel tightly around her body leaving only the head exposed, clean the ears at your leisure!! I had to do this with my 4 cats when they had ear mites, and it worked the best, just make sure not to wrap the towel to tight.

We've used the towel method. I like the idea of rewarding with sardines. Just remember to be gentle. Cats ears are very sensitive. If they are really crusty you may need to go a few rounds to give you and the cat a break.

Hi,
The large towel should do it.... and yes, talk to him(her) at all times very gently...cats love the attention... an when done you can give a special treat like a little sardine or similar... After a few times, he will associate ear cleaning with sardines time and should get more an mor cooperative...lol...
Good luck.......

Wrap kitty in a large towel, with just the head sticking out, and hold on!. Hopefully, you will have someone to help you, one holding kitty, one cleaning. Cats are stronger than you think, especially when it comes to EARS...If it is only you, you can wrap the towel somewhat tightly and safety-pin it, just to make sure the claws don't get loose!!

I went and bought KITTY WIPES at walmart its about 3 dollars for a huge container of them and they look like wet kleenexes so you pull one out put your cat on the counter and start cleaning, sometimes i get my husband to hold her while im doing it, but dont go in to deep then you can damage her ear drum etc, i do it once every 2 weeks, or take her to your vet and get her to do it for you, i think mine charged 2 or 3 dollars for doing it , maybe i didnt even get charged? good luck!

either take her to the vet or have someone help roll her gently in a towel and gently clean her ears.
