Why would Jesus preached one thing then after his death everything change?

That happens with all religions. Islam was the same way - once Muhammad died, people went against the teachings of God. They formed sects, turned to idolatry, and began their war on humanity.

As for Christianity, even Revelation says that all the people in the world will be judged according to their works, not based on some idolatrous practice of worshipping a man as an aspect of GOD to have a carte blanche pass to sin.

Ok, you have 2 questions here. Here is the first.
if salvation is only through the death of christ then please explain?
The rift between man and God as a result of sin was impossible to overcome. The Law (of God) states there must be the shedding of blood for the forgiveness of sins. Only unblemished animals (pure if you will) can be used for sacrifices according to the Law. Jesus, being God, perfect and without sin, is the only person who could make this sacrifice for all mankind. And if you believe in him (meaning believe in your mind, live it out in your life)then you will be saved.(Eph1:10-14) Before Christ, a person needed to become Jewish and follow the Law. But the Law called a person to live a perfect life. Even one sin, was enough to separate you from God forever. So, to the believer in Christ, Jesus' own purity covers the believer and he has salvation.

2nd. You asked:Why would Jesus preached one thing then after his death everything change? I have no idea what you mean here. From the verses you site, I don't see any logical question or anything. The only thing I can tell you is that the Law was given through Moses, 10 commandments, and the Jews created the Talmud a book that expains the 10 commandments making it like 300+ commandments. So, Jesus, narrowed it down and made it simple by saying follow these 2 commandments, the entirety of the Law is wrapped up in these. But once again, no one can follow the Law always and if you break one, you've broken them all.

Good try but no cigar, next time actually read the scriptures. I can tell you didnt get this from your own studies.

John 3:18 says He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

John 3:36 - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Matthew 22:36 -40 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Jesus said if you love me you will keep the commandments (John 14:15) because keeping the commandments is out of love, not duty or works for salvation.

re: matthew 19:!7 - Here Jesus was speaking sarcastically to a man who did not know Jesus was the Son of God and thought he was only a mortal teacher. The man was wealthy and Jesus exposed him because Jesus knew he did not want to give all he had to follow Jesus as all the disciples did.

salvation is believing in Jesus, the Son of the living God. The blood from the cross redeems us from the death of the penalties of our sins.

re:matt 12:37 and matt 16:27 - the ones who deny Jesus will be judged according to what they did and said. The ones who believe in Jesus will be rewarded.

veritas mae,
It is important that you aquire a commentary to help you to understand scripture. Those that are gifted to be teacher/pastors are out there as well.

An older one that I have found that is satifactory is available:
http://www.studylight.org/com/bnn/view.cgi?book=mt

Here's one verse that you inquired about:
Verse 37. By thy words thou shalt be justified, etc. That is, words shall be the indication of the true principles of the heart; by words the heart shall be known, as the tree is by its fruit. If they are true, proper, chaste, instructive, pious, they will prove that the heart is right. If false, envious, malignant, and impious, they will prove that the heart is wrong, and will therefore be among the causes of condemnation. It is not meant that words will be the only thing that will condemn man; but that they will be all important part of the things for which he shall be condemned. See James 3:3-12.

{i} "thy words" Proverbs 13:3

Instead of trying to feed you a fish, I thiught that I would teach you how to fish.

Rule #1:
Never ever, under any circumstances, under no intention to be guided by, those that are not believers to tell you what scripture means.

"Why would Jesus preached one thing then after his death everything change?"
He didn't. God draws lines. Jesus did change things for the better. There was a temple with all these animal sacrifices, now that is not 'required.'

You see, it was always faith that God wanted. That is simplified in the English language best as the word 'trust.' All those rituals in the Old Testament could be done out of religious routine. The personal relationship between man and God is really what He wanted all along. Not because He 'needs' it, but because it pleases Him.

matthew 12:37 is referring to justification among men, not God. Matthew 16:27 referres to rewards in heaven, not the reward of salvation. Slavation is a given, but we all have accounts in heaven, with which the principle of sowing and reaping applies.
Matthew 19:17 and Luke 10:26-28 are not exclusive routes into heaven. Christinas are not bound by the law anymore, but they are still required to follow it. Salvationa nd the law go hand in hand. How can you be saved, say you follow God, and then break his commandments? It doens't make any sense. A christian will follow the law, and the bibile says the law will be written on our hearts.

If the Jews accepted Him as Messiah then there would have been no need for Him to become the ultimate sacrifce.
Messiah has come for the Jews/Israel but because he was rejected and was crucified then the testament of God and the Gospel of salvation in Jesus was given to the gentiles as well.
Because no man not even Jews can keep the commandments or the law and therefore Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice to reconcile man to God and to open a door through which we can be saved since man have rejected God sin have doomed us to hell and eternal death. But now that Jesus died and overcome death and hell and hold the keys of death and rose from the dead we can have eternal life through Him.

ei, if you will read the new testament well. you will find out what is the meaning of your questions.. through the death of Christ.. the holy blood flows from his body.. as it is written in Matthew 16:18
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
and why is that??

Matthew 20:28
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Matthew 26:28
28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

John 3:16
16" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:12
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Good question: I hope I can answer in a way that will make sense to you..Jesus was a jew and he followed the law ( the commandments ) ..many religions teach the commandments are no longer valid because we are saved by faith and grace..
the commandments are spiritual laws.. in the OT there were specific punishments for disobeying them..for example stoning for adultrey...in the NT you will see no specific punishment--- Jesus is not contradicting himself.. he said himself he was not here to do away with the law but to justify the law.. his death and resurrection made salvation possible, because only he was worthy enough to pay our penalties for us-- if you break a physical law like gravity..and jump from a plane without a parachute you will probably get hurt or killed... if you break a spiritual law like the commandments... and say you steal and get caught, you will also maybe get hurt or killed..our salvation is through grace and faith-- but faith without works is dead-- in other words even under grace we are to conduct ourselves in a way pleasing to our Father-- we will be held accountable for our actions..Christ was telling us all the commandments break down to two-- love God love each other-- if you love someone you will not steal or kill or covet what they have and you will conduct yourself in a manner that is "Christlike" ...

we are suppose to do those thing and when we don't then we have sinned, and when Jesus died his death was a sacrifice to God to cover our sins, just like before Jesus did this all sins had to be done with a blood sacrifice of an animal, so by him doing this there was no longer a need to kill animals his blood was sufficient to cover us all if we except the gift of eternal life he was offering us ,to believe on Jesus that he died for us ,that he rose and ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, and who every believes this and says so verbally out of his mouth and believe in his heart, he is saved, and if he sins, he can ask for forgiveness and it will be forgiven of him and he will go to heaven when he dies

WE are to have faith in our Lord, that is how we are saved. But faith without works is dead, much like the parable of "bearing fruits". When one becomes a christian, a seed is planted. If the Christian is living a Holy, Glorifying life, he will "bear fruits" or do good things.
