I need to move the Microsoft Outlook Data file from C to D, since I recently moved my Outlook from C to D (on the same computer). I searched this question, and came up with http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AllTqjOVbp1Tpy.3gdNt01nsy6IX?qid=20060724024844AAGzaoh but i have tried both methods with no success. Any ideas of how to do this?

The current destination is the default Outlook.pst in the outlook folder of the application data folder, which is in the C drive. I cannot any longer store any data on the C drive.

What's the destination of your data folder now?

If not you can try this method. Go into your Mail Account setting and "Next". You see the dialog with a selection of your email accounts. At the bottom, there's "Deliver new emails to the following location." and beside it there's a New Outlook Data File. Just click on that and created a new *.pst file on your D:\.

The above is using Microsoft Outlook 2003.

If you need a step by step instructions, just email me. I'll send you e print screen.

Why do you need to install your outlook in your D:\? it doesn't make a difference after all becoz they will still registered inside your registry that still reside in your C:\ right? What holds more space is your data folder where all your emails stored. My data folder goes up to few hundred MB but maintain it below 1GB thou. hehe
