Well if you think you can handle the situation really well and you talked to your bestfriend, i think that would be fine. Coz in the first place they're not in a relationship anymore.. If he asked you for a date because he likes you its fine as long as they don't have any connection anymore.

Lying is okay, sometimes..Dating your best friends ex is okay too, unless you two have sworn not to. But lying to your best friend about dating her ex is NOT a good idea. That is, unless you want to lose your best friend... Just tell your friend that you really like this guy and if she's truly your friend, she will understand.

GUYS like to get girls who are friends...it just has something that satisfy a man..making them feel like a god...so if the guy that you wanna date is just playing games..you better watch out..coz guys can pretend that they love you but the real thing is they just wanna get the 2 of you..but if you feel it's real then go ahead..oppurtunity comes once in a lifetime..don't let it pass even if she's your friends past..ex means before so don't even worry about it..make sure they don't have feelings for each other though..PEACE OUT!!

I suppose that would depend on how long your friend was with him and what she thinks about it. I have some ex's that I wouldn't mind a friend dating but others that are off limits. Ask her and that should be your answer.

if your friend doesnt mind and as long as you know the guy isnt just talking to you to try to get close to your friend again...then why not.
